I figured that was going to go a very different direction early on when the dog was kicking at the tape on the side of the pool and it looked like the tape was coming off.
To be honest, I'm not sure exactly what the tape is there for. But it built tension.

I have googled Silken Windhound, and now I wonder why all the pictures look like bad taxidermy by a guy who'd only heard of dogs third hand.
This is some uncanny valley doggo goodness here, and I need one in my life.

Story time. My parents are moving/have moved back to Illinois. My sister and her husband are moving into the parents old house and will be renting it.
The day the parents were supposed to leave, one of the cats, Felix, went missing. They all looked for two hours and could not find him. Mom was upset as she and dad left. My sister was confident that he would turn up and she would fly with him to Illinois.
Felix showed up in the house 6 hours later. He had gotten into the garage and had fallen asleep in my sisters stuff and was more or less chill with the new living dynamics. Mom and dad pulled an immediate u turn to get him.

Felix showed up in the house 6 hours later. He had gotten into the garage and had fallen asleep in my sisters stuff and was more or less chill with the new living dynamics. Mom and dad pulled an immediate u turn to get him.
The day after my wedding, my wife and I were getting ready to head out on our honeymoon, but right before we left we couldn't find one of our cats. We looked high and low, we had people in and out of the house all day and this was an indoor cat, we were super worried she had gotten loose outside. During one final pass I hear a quiet "Mew" in our bedroom and realize the cat had gotten the dresser drawer open enough to squeeze in and was asleep on my socks, not a care in the world.
The previous cat I named was melkor because I was even even nerdier teen than as an adult. Poor thing got very sick very young though. RIP melkor.
Now all is Duck. He keeps eating though his new food too fast. We had to buy a different brand because his normal stuff was out of stock. I guess he likes this stuff more.
my upcoming new apartment allows cats and it's big enough that it wouldn't feel too cramped for them, and they "only" charge an extra $25/mo pet rent (which is bullshit as a concept but ya know)
so I think in a couple months when I'm settled, I will be two cats richer
