One of Georgia's OL and a recruiting staff member died in a single car crash last night after their parade and stuff in Athens. Really sad story, no one knows what happened/caused the crash yet.

Coaches famously never take jobs after assuring people they won’t
I’m joking, of course.
The problem is, Harbaugh wants someone to sweep him off his feet with:
- a good team
- “fuck you” money
- No interview process
And if you’re a good team who loses a coach suddenly you might make him an offer but no good team is going to invest the kind of money he wants without having some kind of interview process

Cowboys would, but jury would definitely be out if they would be considered a "good team" or not by Harbaugh. Also the win last night probably stays that option for another season, though them getting shellacked by the 49ers in the same manner they just did to the Bucs might be enough.
What he actually wanted was to be paid better than two coaches demonstrably worse than him in the same division, more money for his assistants, and functional NIL. I also think he doesn't like the athletic director. This year was all leverage nonsense.

Also Michigan Co-OC Matt Weiss is on leave while under investigation for a "computer access crime" done from his computer in Schembechler Hall. Which could be anything from stealing a music file to...really heinous shit. A large unmarked police presence at his house last week makes me lean towards the latter, unfortunately.
EDIT: Reportedly not federal, so the worst stuff is unlikely.

There's a large list of things that unauthorized account access will get you reprimanded or fired for. The list that necessitates immediately contacting the police is a lot smaller. And smaller still are things that result in "a large police presence at your home".
Just remember that half the people you meet are below average intelligence.

Yeah it's weird. That last detail made me think child porn because obviously. But that almost always goes federal and this isn't. So just waiting on details I guess.

Michigan and the NCAA have had negotiations breakdown because Harbaugh won't admit he's lying in the face of the NCAA's...complete lack of evidence he lied.

The problem for the NCAA is that everyone knows Alston changed everything, yet the NCAA wants to act like it didn't.
Extremely funny that in one part of the sport there's a massive story about a 5-star QB canceling his commitment because of a failure by the school "collaborative" to follow through on a $13 million commitment
And on the other side the NCAA is pissed because of a hamburger
I don’t know how the Harburgers saga ends, but I know there’s a 100% chance OSU’s marching band does a formation shaped like a burger and plays the Burger Time theme or something

I refuse to do more research than listening to the Fullcast episode on this but isn't the lying bit from him denying he signed the receipt from his school card during the breakfast?

I believe he said he doesn't remember and they're claiming he definitely must have.

It’s hilarious that even the universities are now refusing to respect the fig leaf of the ncaas authority
Like, he’s supposed to take the slap on the wrist and say thank you sir and when he instead says ‘nah fuck you’ they don’t know what to do
Everyone knows that the courts are looking for an excuse to take the NCAA apart, which really constrains what they can do when any punishment could become grounds for a federal case.
It’s freedom, but it’s the kind of freedom where wile e coyote is currently running full speed off a cliff. I’m feeling thrilled but we gotta get a great oc before we look down and hire like, some has been nfl assistant or something
That motherfucker’s player decisions as GM and locker room poisoning, on top of his overcomplicated offensive schemes, tanked the Texans as hard or harder than our bad owner and his now fired Rasputin or our vile ex-quarterback.

I mean imagining Saban shakily getting onto one of those tiny river boats to talk to Kliff who has shades on and is three days into a drunken fishing bender is a pretty great image, i won't lie
"I like fishin' as much as the next guy, 'aight? Maybe even more, if Ms. Terry would let me, if you know what I mean, Kliff, but come on, this is ridiculous. what're you gonna do, fish in your skivvies while you drink for the rest of your life in paradise? what kind of hell am i even describing here, where's the grind??"
Boo! Boo this decision I say! Make him coach for life at Alabama!

Still strange and bad, but not the worst case scenario
Probably shouldn't have choked to TCU then.
Trying to delete evidence for the recruiting violations investigation
(This is not serious speculation, just buying a lottery ticket)

Pluto was a planet and I'll never forget
On the other hand, Michigan won like half the Big Ten titles last year.
EDIT In other Michigan news, whatever Matt Weiss was doing with his unauthorized email access got him fired.
