-Playing into a heavy ranged team is going to lead to misery early on, since your range starts out kinda short and you're going to get a little bullied. You probably want to see a couple enemy melee characters, since that means you can eventually bounce your Q off them to hit the enemy backline when you get STACKS.
-You know what's surprisingly annoying? The melee support item that executes things, because that's STEALING MY STACKS. GIMMIE. MY. STACKS. Also surprisingly the stack mechanic is pretty smart and really pushes you to keep farming because you *really* want those stacks...
-Essence Reaver feels like it was made for him? Can't imagine why it's getting buffed in the next patch...
-Don't be like the enemy Smoulder and go RFC/Jak'sho top lane.

every time pantheon is a viable support he gets removed from the video game.
because when pantheon is a viable support he has a 600 range point and click adc delete button on a basic ability.

So what makes the support work? I don't rift anymore but I am curious.
It’s been meta for quite a few seasons now, though sometimes more or less popular
the concept is high early damage and point and click cc; the counterplay is poking him out of existence and never letting him really get into the game as he has always fallen off later on

yeah the whole basis for the pick is that you 100-0 the squishies every time they decide to exist near you.

clowning on a vayne never gets old
especially when it gets to the point where I can just W them under tower and 100-0 before my stun is done

Ended up finally having the energy to sit down and do my solo queue placements. Continuing to one-trick MF. Ended up going 3-2, Iron I 98 LP.
(Insert a “OH COME ON!” yell from the back of the gallery here.)
Losses were
-mid disconnected a couple of minutes into the match and the game gave us a early surrender instead of a remake.
-Mid did the “run to mid, disconnect a few seconds later, bot runs them back to fountain for safety, reconnects” dance for around half the game, couldn’t overcome the numbers disadvantage.

I'm surprised you were able to get 5 MF games. I figured her ban rate has got to be 40%, but I guess it's more like 24%

Probably less good on senna. It's more of a divine sunderer (oh hey I just realized that they share a naming scheme) replacement for bruisers who don't build crit. The crit hit is just a crit hit, unless there's something I'm missing. You can't get a double crit.

Gotta say, Smolder is pretty fun. I've been starting a doran's and prioritizing three points in W, for a scaling champ he's not that weak early game! The E being able to take you out outside of map geometry for avoiding tower dives is verrrrrry useful too.

Honesty, down in the dirt leagues? I’m not really convinced she’s worth a ban. While she’s good, you’re probably going a lethality build which falls off a bit late-game. And games definitely seem to go longer since people are sorta terrible at actually taking advantage of advantages and pushing/ending.
And you still are extremely vulnerable to anything that can get all up in your face-meat with no thought like Fizz or Nocturne…. Or any sort of tank. Or an assassin sitting out of vision.
I’m tempted to try out some crit builds, but dear gooooooood does crit feel terrible to build since it takes forever to come online and feel “worth it.”

TBH if I was going for dirt elo bans (as someone barely out of that bracket) for ADC I'd slap MF or Jhin.
Ashe would be the other part of the trio of ADC's that just kinda work with basic ability usage over auto attack mechanics.
But mostly I'd ban a Kayn or Zed before those because an easier ADC is way less impactful than a popular assassin going online after two kills.

When I played in dirt league I would frequently ban Twisted Fate so that I didn't have to play with one on my own team, lol. Bronze/Silver TF players are the worst, lol.
I can feel that, I'd be tempted for teemo or shaco too.
But like, feels like a wasted ban to try remove the coinflip 'this guy is either really good at this or we lose' picks because there's so many.
It's like how if you ban blitzcrank you're just signalling the enemy support to pick another hook support because you just said you can't play vs one.

She's very easy to play and very safe, and she can sort of inadvertently do a lot of damage with her ult in teamfights
it's not about getting rid of the most dangerous adc, it's about giving yourself space for skill expression if you think you're better than the enemy adc/forcing your opponent onto something they don't know how to play
I only draft Kindred like, once ever three months but somehow every time I do I get an absurd banger of a game.
Like this match opened with: Jarvan vertical's me, so I have an awkward path of wolves, blue, invade red, find Jarvan and kill them then get crab (which I won the mark coinflip on), then kill panth mid and back with like 2K and 2 marks at five minutes.

you hate to see a pantheon with three and a half full items in a match with two hyper scalers on the other team
you hate to see a pantheon with three and a half full items in a match with two hyper scalers on the other team
Honestly I swear half the requirement for drafting Kindred is seeing at least two divers like J4 or Pantheon on the enemy team.
It's kind of the opposite to most ADC's because you either just space them out (using your 'real' ADC as bait) or defuse them with your ult and catch the free mark off them every fight.

Really annoyed that smolder does %true damage when stacked. It’s so fucking stupid, there is no itemization that you can take to counter it.
It’s very much becoming a “you have to end the game before he starts shutting all over your team” and God help you if he gets an early lead
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
Yeah Smolder is just Veigar but ADC, the goal is to kill him real quick because he has no tools except a slow and MS boost to stop you murdering his ass.
i find that whenever you have a character that deals true damage, there's a few people - no shade intended - that really wind up fixating on the part of the kit that deals true damage and how it can't be itemized against, and they sort of lose sight of the whole package of the kit and how much can be itemized around or played around. ever since vayne was introduced 13 years ago

I hate vayne for the same reason but I don't think vayne compares to smolder at all.

Clearly they need to change Crit Damage to Crit Severity, where instead of becoming big numbers part of crits are converted to true damage. Would at least fulfill a bit more of a “marksman” fantasy (finding gaps in opponent’s armor and putting shots in the weak points like you were Kim Kitsuragi rolling boxcars) while possibly tapering down a bit on late-game problems with big numbers and lifesteal.

Oh no, panth is OP as fuck and needs a nerf.
moreso meant that an assassin with a point-click stun that excels in the early game is like a custom-made counter for a short-ranged hyperscaling ADC with no hard CC

There's a damagey support item that's basically budget trinity force.
Also the fully upgraded support items give a lot of gold. Helps keep item parity as a support which helps expand the pool of viable supports.
because when pantheon is a viable support he has a 600 range point and click adc delete button on a basic ability.
Two things.
The support item that increases damage after you attack after doing an ability + PTA damage amp
Sundered Sky
I am basically walking up and one shot critting people then backing out, throwing sky hits on other champs to increase sustain and deal good burst.
