The Royals are seemingly not complete shit, first time I've paid attention to them in 4 years or so. Though I doubt our starting pitching can keep up all year, and while he's winless thus far (no run support) Ragans is the best arm/package i've seen us have since early Grienke.
Though my favorite pitching thing I've seen this year is this:
Alternate titles:
Your #1 source for Zydrunas Ilgaukas apologia
Career performances from Lebron, AD can't defeat local Serb, more at 11
Wanna see the Heat do it again? Without Jimmy Buckets?
I just wanna say, with apologies to Knight_, that leagues getting into bed with sports betting is Bad Actually, but I don't think the league is actively rooting for one of their biggest stars to be eliminated in the first round
The conspiracy is over now though, right? Secret agents from Philly were sent quietly in the night to assassinate the evil agents at the NBA office responsible for prior crimes against the 76ers.
The natural order has been restored, as Embiid alone shoots more free throws than the entire Knicks team combined. The only valid result.
I'm hoooping after this year people can stop talking about the Lakers being a tough matchup for the Nuggets.
That's one where the internets have been surprisingly grounded, here and elsewhere, but the crazy things you hear at the gym. Maaaybe they'll get a game off of the Nuggets in a best of 15 series?

I know we need a new thread and I was equally critical of one particular Sixers fan over recent events, but I don't think this is the vibe we want here.
I really have nothing against the Cavs, but I'm now a fan of their blowout loss as the top post on their subreddit is a picture of someone's adorable cat.
....I'm actually slightly hoping the Lakers can pull out one game, because it will bump OKC's Monday game from 8:30 to 7:30 and I can actually get a full night's sleep for work.
Anderson Verajao would have scored 18 points a game if his hands weren’t cinder blocks coated in astroglide
Lebron would feed him 8 easy layups or dunks a game and 7 of them bounced off his hands, arms, or face and became a loose ball fracas, the only type of play Andy was good at
I’ve always been a LeBron fan, but the team I’ve always carried a torch for is the Timberwolves. So I’m really looking forward to game three tonight and hope Edwards can continue to talk shit to members of the Suns.

I’m torn between wanting to be excited about the Wolves versus not wanting to be hurt. It’s been so long since they were good, and they’re really fun to watch right now.
Without having tried to look it up. . . Have the T wolves won only 2 playoff series in their history? I remember KG famously lost in the first round every year until Cassell and Sprewell, then they made WCF. I dont think they have ever won a round again, have they?

Big Z was ahead of his time. Due to early injuries he focused on jumpshots instead of putting his back to the basket before this was an accepted idea even from players like Dirk. If he were to play in the space-and-pace era he would have been a monstrous version of Channing Frye.

This gave me a sad remembering first round game 7 against the Kings. Webber was coming back from his ACL and the kings were DETERMINED to force him back in even though he had one leg and they were humming along just fine without him earlier in the season.
Toward the end of game 7, win or go home, literally only 2 of the Kings players even giving the slightest of shits on the court. Doug Christie and broken Webber. Despite this they've battled the Wolves all the way, Webber gets the ball for what would have been an easy dunk for him before the injury. Instead you can watch in real time as he realizes he can't jump anymore, shifts awkwardly to a half hearted layup attempt, and is blocked (he might have actually just missed the layup instead, it was 20 years ago and there was much beer). The whole end of that era of the kings summarized right there in that play.
Oh yeah, I remember that Kings/TWolves game 7 as well. Webber had the chance to win it with a 3 at the end and front rimmed it. Webber was traded the next year I think and Kings never contended again.

I don’t think thread titles should be used to target members of this community

Let's be fair, and alternate between current title and "29 other teams in the league are out to get Draymond and disparage his reputation #FakeNews"
I feel like TelMarine would roll with it. You already had two years of the thread title being mean to my favorite player at the time -- I've done my time!

The AL Central is a fucking abomination and a grave insult to sports fans
Contract it, yesterday
I can't believeland this slander
And will never be contracted, for the same reason; too many potential TV viewers all clustered together in a place where there’s not much else to do
-Indiana Solo, runner of blades
Can we at least get a seperate playoff playing for the al east at least this shits embarrassing

as much as i've enjoyed watching them beat up on the As and both kinds of sox, i get it.
Best exit velo I've gotten in Show '23 and '24 with a juiced 90+ rated hitter was like 112mph and round 430 feet.
Showhei is a living cheat code.

The Lakers are 3-0 in the first halves of the series.
So in a sense they are tied with the Nuggets who I think are starting to feel the pressure here.
But they won't.
