It's our holiday and I fucking hate the day so much.
I hate constantly hearing corny ass mother fuckers proclaim how Irish they are and then being met with "ITS ST PADDIES DAY EVERYONE IS IRISH TONIGHT" and then everyone laughs because that's a reference to The Boondock Saints and jesus fucking christ shut the fuck up we've all seen the movie and we get it, you're an alcoholic. Quit with the excuses and get fucking wasted, but at least own up to it.
Aye, and you get dipshits left and right doing on about the luck of the fucking Irish while drinking black and tans. Going on about Irish freedom while drinking a fucking drink named after an British police unit that targeted civilians. Yeah, I get that we've made it into a drinking holiday for every fucking degenerate to abuse, but at least have some fucking respect and don't prattle on.
I was just commenting. And saying hybrids shouldn't dps as well as pure classes means warriors should be a damn site lower.
Warriors are questionable. They are awfully high for a class that does have a highly viable second role, but then their buffs are questionably lower than feral druids(do endgame warriors even consider the 4% damage buff?) and/or elemental shamans, and definitely lower than shadow priests. And if feral druids are a bit lacking in buffs, they more than make up for it as the very best offtanks.

Warriors are around-the-clock bullshit because the lead designer loves them.

I remember when I was raiding on my Warrior, the Raid Leader and the other top Rogue liked having me in their group because I had some points increasing the AP buff from Battle Shout.
I'm really surprised to see hunters so low on that. Maybe we just have really exceptional hunters, or the rest of us suck? Hmm.
Actually, yeah, I would hope that's inaccurate. That looks to me like they're not enough higher than the warriors and hybrids to justify the loss of the buffs and off-tanking/healing capabilities.
Yeah, the haste and AP vs demons (like, 90% of the bosses we're currently facing) gives a hell of an edge. Also, stacking groups so that 3-4 people's buffs are all linked to boost the damage of one person clearly has benefits.
Even with all that said, I'm not sure they should be, like, 50% higher than 2nd place, but I'm perfectly comfortable knowing that my theoretical top end could one day reside in the 3k+ region. I'm hovering around 2k without warglaives, and today's another raid week to pray they drop... and that our dps warrior can't make it. >.>
But seriously, moar glaives! 2 MH's back to back, preferably.
Holy shit... I remember seeing the Azzinoth blades as a rumor and data mined way back when and thinking... "No way they'd put those in the game."
How are they gonna have progression with those?? I know they like to start everyone on the same plate when they release expansions... does that mean the epic weapons from WotLK will start at 177 DPS one handers?! O_o
season 3 arena weapons are already 103 DPS (glaves are 109 i believe) so i expect season 4 to catch them if not pass (s1-91, s2-97, s3-103, s4-110?)
Dont sweat a legendary... they dont mean shit really cause blizzard throws them aside like a used up porn star....
I think what gives rogues the HUGE advantage in raids is windfury. Our melee group has 1 fury warrior, 3 rogues and an enhancement shaman so thats like 280 AP + windfury for all members.... must be nice.
Us poor casters will go back to crying for a boomkin and spriest

Oh sure, but feral druids can give 5-6% crit to everyone in the party, buff all bleeds by 30%, and give constant low level healing to your group as well as have the ability to shift to tanking at a moment's notice. Enhancement shamans just flat out have way better buffs, as do shadow priests and I guess ret pallies as well.
They can't shift to tanking at a moment's notice in raids. They get smushed if they try that since their cat gear isn't made for tanking at all. You have a druid, you should know that.
edit: Fuck I once tried that and fucking Skeletal Usher crushed me for like 11k.
edit2: And warriors give battle shout or commanding shout. Hunters can have trueshot aura. And mages can give Arcane Intellect. And warlocks have improved shadow bolt. Fuck I could probably pretend a whole number of things that buff the whole raid. Should all of those classes have their dps lowered?
Sadly it is ridiculously hard to recruit if you aren't 5/5 9/9 at this point. Hell we still can't get any cross-server resto shaman apps.
Lower your gear requirements? If you haven't already that is.
We don't have gear requirements so much as attunement requirements, which is a problem since a lot of Illidan-farming guilds are like "we're bored, we'll key you."

It's not a gear requirement thing, it's the attunement. Combine the attunement with the fact that guilds that have Illidan on farm tend to bleed players and you end up with really high demand at the very top tier for people from a small applicant pool. It's getting a little better as more and more guilds get keyed and alot of MH/BT guilds are just looking for people with the Vashj vial at least.
I think people just get scared away and assume they shouldn't bother applying. We can pretty reliably get some t5 guild's Vashj or Kael on a Sunday night, or get them to let our dudes sneak in to talk to the Karathress NPC, but we don't even get t5-geared shaman apps. Now we've got this one paladin who bought a shaman from a friend who suddenly wants to reroll, but it pisses me off cos he's just doing it because he wants a guaranteed raid spot and he's paranoid that we have too many paladins. He's like "Paladin healing isn't dynamic enough!" ...as if spamming Chain Heal is going to be any better. Yes I really want to let him shelve a four-piece t6 paladin for that.

I'm not talking about shifting to maintanking at a moments notice, I mean any assistant mobs etc. And if your gear doesn't support an off-tanking role(and it does/should at the tier 6 level) then you change it so it does. You're not there for pure dps unless the fight specifically allows for that(just one boss to deal with).
The hybrid classes have better buffs, enhancement shamans and shadow priests significantly so.
Hey, guys, I'm sorry if this isn't the best place to ask, but I'm trying to show my friend what Blizzard said concerningthe new MMO project. I was telling him there was possibly a rumour that it would be a graphical overhaul on woW and a few other rumours, but I had nothing to show him and he heard nothing of that in game, so could you guys pelase give me general directions to where I could find info on that.
I've tried using the search function, but I couldn't find anything related to that.
thanks in advance.

And unfortunately we can't get a Vashj or Kael like that. One of the douchebag guilds on the server basically stole a bunch of raid ID's from some lower rank guilds and were actively poaching members at the same time. I'm kinda surprised they didn't do something else for the shithead hat-trick but hey. And now lower ranked guilds are really, really paranoid about things like that.

Because there isn't any information worth a damn. They are hiring for a next-gen MMO. What the IP is behind it? No one knows.

Naw, they are going old school. World of Lost Vikings. 8-)

That's really just three roles(ranged and melee are still both dps) and it hardly makes them a god, mostly, because there's no way you're ever going to have the gear to do all of those well. And rerolling is far easier than it used to be, so bundling all of that in one class, at reduced viability, is not as good as it used to be. I'll give you that feral is an amazing tree, but beyond that, you'd be better off rolling a warlock for your ranged dps and collecting epic gear on that character and keeping him ready to bring into a raid than respeccing into balance and doing lower dps, even with the same level of gear.
Well I would reroll a shaman over there and help but I have never played one beyond level 22 and starting from strach is not helping anyone at that point.
It was the last time I went to Uldaman and saw the three vikings/ things they drop I remembered who they were.
Plus, again, warriors can offtank and dps using the same tree as well. Sure, they can't main tank but their dps is also higher than a druids. Honestly, this argument can go round and round so it isn't really worth it.

Well, in this case, they act like druids but are less flexible. I'm not sure, but I doubt a high-end fury warrior is going to be tanking anything dangerous, or anything other than trash, and certainly not in their dps gear, whereas the feral druid has less dps, but is capable of main-tanking with only a gear swap, and off-tanking nasty mobs with no swap.
What is the consensus on playing a Feral Druid in the 60-70 range? Is it worth it? Ive been running my druid up to 40 and its nice when you get the right gear, but is it a struggle to get good cat and bear gear? Just wanting to know if i should raise my warlock instead.

When I did it, I focused mainly on cat gear, picking up the important tanking items as I went(rings, armory cloaks etc) and I was perfectly capable of tanking the 5 mans. Levelling as feral in Outland is such a breeze.

Getting cat and bear gear is very easy in Outlands.
However, at 70 you're pretty much either a gimped Prot Warrior or a gimped Rogue. Not terribly worth it.
It depends what you are looking for. I never had an issue getting gear for my druid from 60-70 and loved it a lot but I can a warlock being really fun too. Both classes rarely have to stop during the grind for anything but with a decent bit of spell damage warlocks are probably stronger.
edit: At high end, druids have been mildly minimized now that everyone has incredible hp pools. Since that and high armor was their main benefit they aren't really any better since they can be crushed.
edit2: Man, I'd love two skills or talents in the feral tree given to druids in Lich King. A new finisher that isn't a bleed and doesn't suck like ferocious bite and something for bears that pushes crushes off the table like warriors and paladins can do.
I havent really figured that out yet. I thought i might regear and respec for resto or something. I keep hearing too many bad things about Feral ( which i love ) at the end point.

Resto is nice in raids and PvP, but it's difficult trying to get a spot in 5mans or heroics. No one likes a healer who doesn't have a rez, espesially since dps tend to be retarded and pull aggro all the time. Personally, I wish I'd rolled a priest instead.

I know this has been beat to death, but...
They can tank, heal, melee dps, range dps....
show me one class that can do all 4 of those jobs... oh and do them exceptionally well... with just a respec and change of gear
I know druids in my guild who carry 4 sets of gear just for this reason... makes me a very sad panda
Why cant my class transform into a god like this?
World of Starcraft IMO.
