If you are talking about a costume or look for a character, in the character costume thread that is tagged with nsf56k, it would be really cool if you would provide a picture of what you are talking about.

I'd be happy to if I could actually see any pics that I wanted to post. I'm at work and for some reason they like to randomly block pics. I can't even see the ones you've posted, though I'm sure they look nice.
I much preferred her outfit with the body-armour. I think that was when she was going by Warbid? I dunno, it just seemed refreshingly sensible and practical.
I also really liked Captain Britain's costume from at the end of the Excalibur: Sword of Power miniseries, but it's apparently impossible to find a picture of that.
When you're bulletproof, body armor is kind of redundant.

Yeah, but what if it's magic body armor. To protect against magic.
Since this is a costume thread, who wants to be the first to redesign a character using heromachine or something similar? Or maybe use it to make a costume for themselves?
I do a lot of this in between short stints of artistic productivity. I did a little mucking about with Booster Gold and Beetle's costumes recently.
Great drawings. I like the trench coated Beetle lurking in the background.
Oh, and Munch, excellent sketch sheet. I dig your drawings as always.
Thanks, I always enjoy your stuff so I appreciate the compliment. That Superhulk you did recently was quite cool, and I'm also eager to see how your comic featuring the Son of Kalev works out.
Munch I actually like your Iron Man more than some of the ones they published
Thanks. I'm extremely critical of everything I do, so it's nice to hear that. I think my shitty coloring and some general anatomical wonkiness (neck area, his hip plates not being symmetrical, etc) did me in. I still think that Kirby Krackle chest plate looks neat though. I'm thinking about submitting a big batch of JLI/E redesigns in the future, and may apply some tweaks to the Iron Man design to make it a suit of power armor for Beetle, even though some other dude already had a similar design accepted by the site.

Thanks. It's actually lab coated Beetle. Though I was actually going for sort of a parody of 90's trenchcoat costumes, twisted a bit to fit in better with Beetle's geeky sensibilities. Of course, I just read Warren Ellis and Stuart Immonen's arc of Fantastic Four a few days ago, and saw I'd already been beaten to the labcoat-over-superhero costume idea.
Anyhow, I love the redesign that Steel Spider got a few years ago, and the way it was depicted it in Thunderbolts. From this--

That is pretty cool. I figure it's a nice example of how he had to improvise a lot on his suit without much money, and so he stripped it down to something lean and mean.
Deadpool !! He may look like Spider man , but he pulls it off with more style then the Web head ever could. He's also crazy , so that may be part of the extra charm. And he likes killing zombies ~
I do. It's a very simple costume but it works really well. It isn't overly cluttered, it's easily recognizable and it is fairly practical. I think it's stood the test of time fairly well.
And it's a fun little costume to point out when someone starts going "All female heroes wear costumes designed only to look sexy".

Yeah, but Sue Storm compensated by being absolutely helpless in that era.

They are blue jumpsuits with the number "4" plastered on the front.

I mean, he had that tanktop for a while, but come on.
look there's only so many unstable molecules to go around, okay?
Oh sure, that's what you'll say now! First it's 'Oh honey, I don't have enough to go around', then it'll be 'I just don't feel like giving it to you', and then, to nobody's surprise, it'll be 'I'm tired of having to be the one who gives! Why can't I receive anything? Why don't you think about me? What about me, Mick? WHAT ABOUT ME?! I'M TAKING THE CHILDREN! DON'T YOU MAN HANDLE ME!'

Pretty much. But most females were even ones with solo titles. Wonder Woman got rescued as much as she rescued back in the day.

Throw in a cape, change the four to an S and put your undies on the outside and you have Superman's basic costume. The jumpsuit is pretty much the basis of most super hero costumes. But the costume doesn't have to be amazingly fancy to work. The 90's taught us that it's fairly easy to make overly complicated costumes.
The FF uniform is a nice, understated costume. It's the Bentley of costumes. Simple, quiet, and refined. Something over the years the designers might tweak, but not something you take on "Pimp my Ride".You look at them, you see they are heroes. Not overly flashy heroes but heroes you can trust to get the job done.

Also, 90's Cyclops should've totally just had a fanny-pack.
I was so close to posting the exact same line, but something compelled me to read the past replies first.
