Doing quick 20 second sketches in my book today. Quite awful at the moment. My dog is so cute these sketches do him no justice!
Practicing with water colour paints. Bought a cheap pack of 12 colours for $11.95. So far only used 3 tubes! Took my sketch of Jim Cramer i drew earlier. Some of you probably saw it.
And farting around with mixing acrylics. My bros GF fave me about 15 tubes of student paint, so im using these instead of my expensive ones.
EDIT: Sorry for the size of images, next posts ill make them smaller.
yaoi's not the two boys holding each other in draperies I see on the front page of DeviantArt everyday, is it? or is that hentai? or do I even want to know?
yaoi is male homosexual anime pictures

Been a while since I posted a sketchdump. Spoilered for size and possible NSFW.
I drew that big ol' head and the Spidey with a brush pen. It was fun but the thing frayed out on my sketchbook in no time. I may need to look into getting some actual inking brushes.
I've been playing around a lot with line breaks and hatching. Kind of like it.
I fiddled with the idea of entering that Universal Monster draw-off, but never got around to it. I've also been experimenting with light and shadow a bit, which explains the Wolfman and Frankenstein's monster in the center of the page. Also took Toji's advice and got some whiteout to play around with for snowflake effects. Haven't gotten to try it out on an actual comic page yet, but you can see my little thumbnail there where I played with it.
I'm always afraid that, after I do a page of anatomical scribblings, there will be some news reports of a serial killer in the area with a limb-specific dismemberment fetish, and someone will see my sketchbook laying open somewhere and get really weirded out. Also, I cannot foreshorten fingers for shiiiiit.
Mostly character doodles for DC Comics characters I vainly hope to work on one day.
Aborted attempts at monster design and light/shadow fiddling.
Quick design sketch for a character I had a comic idea for, and more diddling about to the right. The main figure was my attempt to tighten up my pencils and draw a little larger than I'm normally comfortable doing. I think it turned out okay, though the legs look kind of short. He was supposed to be cocking his head to the side, but I overdid it so he looks like he's about to fall over.
Got the inspiration from a line from a Godspeed You! Black Emperor song which goes 'I open my wallet... and it's full of blood'. Song is Dead Flag Blues.
Ffff. This is as far as i'm gonna get in Maya. Giving up on the fur for now. Gunna see if it works better in XSI. Didn't bother with my texture because I was hoping the fur system would work. :c

It's cool. I like the colours, and you blocked in enough to give the image definition. In a speed painting, I suppose there's not much more you can ask for =P
Wakkawa: Like the zebra girl a lot, though her hands are kind of fucked up. I also like the mod leopard girl. She looks like she ought to be spread in Vogue or something... though I can't decide if I'd like it better if her hair was done more cleanly or not since you're going for that kind of graphic look.

Y'know, it took me a second to figure out what was going on with her right hand (after you pointed it out). She's twisting it back, but it's not obvious at first site, in part because it's a rather unnatural positioning for the arm and wrist. I love the simplicity of it, but I think in this case a bit more detail would be useful to make the image a touch clearer.

It's my friends MSN sketch that i'm colouring for her as a christmas present.
I'm looking for some serious help with the lightsource/my colours though. Because I have all these different colours, and they don't really seem to all mesh together to me? Like is there some way I could put a major lightsource in to sort of bring it together? I'm really trying to get better at this, and I just can't visualize it.
Hey wakkawa, did I ever tell you that my favorite artist on DA seems to be a big fan of your work? He's got at least a couple of your pieces in his favorites.
Goes by biz02 on DA. Look him up if you ever get the time.

Y'know WCK, I've been looking at your art over the past few weeks and I think I've nutted out where you might be going wrong.
I think your just trying to draw to damn fast and get everything down really quickly. Exchanging speed for accuracy can be good in some situations, but I think you might need to slow down a bit and think more about how the shapes fit in a 3 dimensional space. Also you might want to try drawing figures using nothing but cylinders, blocks, balls and cones. Don't forget to use an eraser, a misplaced line can really throw of your eye if your trying to nut out a shape.

Maybe not, but seeing as how I can't remember the rule for it either and you already did it...

Bleh, I used to be good at gesture drawing.
Fluid simulation is fun.

The red thing is there to provide an obstacle for the simulation, but that works too.

this took me like four K D Lang songs to do or maybe like four and a half
prolly should be faster
thats pretty sweet there.
exit: The colors are kind of muddy. Try to blend them a little less.
munch, looking good as always.
What's the longest sequential you've done so far?
x_o yeah i have a habit of that. i'll definitely try not to next time. ty~!
Wakka, I thought you were going to try doing something other than pretty ladies. God.

Seriously Wak, you need to do way more shit like this, I love it.
