I'm not too big a fan of the new goldrush change either. It seems to create yet another easily defendable chokepoint from an area that was blissfully open before. Sentry under the bridge pretty much means they can't come out of that little door. Plus its incredibly easy to lob stickies and grenades in through the windows/door and blow everything to hell. Windows just mean defending snipers now only have to aim at a small rectangle instead of the entire balcony.
Anyway, I've yet to see it help attackers as advertised.

Oh yeah I had to do a re-install so the starting map and map rotations are still not back the way they were. That's why it's on 2fort and the nextmap is hydro.

We actually played a bit of Hydro, but most of it was melee only because of the low player count at the time. Then the map switched to Well (CTF) and a bunch of jerks decided to vote it to Dustbowl.

im hopelessly bored at work and everytime someone mentions the fact that the only real counter to scouts are sentries some people start ragging on him about how comp teams full of scouts are never countered by engies.

Scouts really run into problems when the map doesn't support them. They rely on their ability to take low-traffic routes (generally the longer ones) in less time than other classes would, in order to get behind the enemy and harass them from the sides. That's fine so long as that extra route exists. If there's a chokepoint, though, the Scout has neither the durability nor the maneuverability to get through the wall of bullets.
The simplest solution would be to, y'know, design maps that don't have a location that you absolutely must go through. But that's far easier said than done, and if we're going to tie the fix to the Scout, I'd say give him the ability to pull a The Flash once every very rarely. During this momentary speed boost (and I stress "momentary"-- like, one second at most), he moves extremely fast, cannot be damaged, can move through enemies, and cannot fire his weapons. This ability is not available while carrying the Intelligence. Just enough to get him through a troublesome door or slip away from an enemy who's gotten the upper hand, but only often enough to consider using in those situations.

I have Steam set to Danish and it was translated, so you wouldn't understand it. Instead, I scoured through the TF2 GCF and found it:
"As the Civilian, wait for your teammates to clear an area before moving forward."
It's the only civilian hint, but there's also some win conditions:
"[english]Winreason_HuntedDead" "The Civilian is DEAD!"
"[english]Winreason_HuntedEscaped" "The Civilian ESCAPED!"
The crazy thing is that I went through the files for all of the languages and the Danish one is the only one with the Civilian stuff. All of the others have no mentions of the word civilian. Just look for yourself. Open team fortress 2 content.gcf with GCFScape and go to tf/resource and open tf_danish.txt.

Since the newest update, ammo packs recharge the Spy's cloak, meaning that he can stay cloaked for a much longer time.
