The guard is scruffy and looks like he's more used to being drunk than sober. His kit is ill fitting and he does not appear comfortable in it. The kit consists of a leather belt and bandoleer with a sword sheath over brown pants, tan tunic, and leather boots which all look a bit too big for him.

I attempt to magnatize the reinforcement's armor, because them suddenly smashing into each other would not only be hilarious, it'd immobilize and possibly injure them.
(Reminder that I specialize in those sorts of metals. )
[You can't magnetize non metallic objects. Now the weapons on the other hand...]
Firstly you'll need to check to see if you understand how magnetism works. After that, assuming the weapons are non ferrous, you'll have no problems.
Given your area of study, that shouldn't be a problem.
If the weapons are ferrous then you'd have to change the actual composition of the weapon, much harder to do.
And if I'm reversing the definition of ferrous, well you know what I mean.

I bring my sword to bear once again, however I do my best to use the flat of the blade rather than the edge. I figure if we leave at least one guard alive, we can question him.
Also, if it turns out that I'm slashing up an innocent, I'll feel a whole hell of a lot better if he and the others are just real messed up and not dead.
I shrug, sheathing my sword before roughly grappling the remaining guard's arms behind his back.
"So, since you're here, why not tell us a little bit more about this place. What it is, what's in here, why you're here, who you work for, and any other details that may come up."
(So everyone is aware, I plan on resting until my fatigue is fully recovered, we are rudely interrupted, or the rest of the party wants to move on and wake me.)

The guard in front of Inx immediately surrenders after realizing he is disarmed and facing down a swordsman.
Darm Primus used the rest of his fatigue, he's now at 0 and is slumped against the wall, breathing heavily and barely concious.
The rest of the guards run for it the opposite way out of the room.
