I have real trouble justifing any delay when we have a queue of 70 people lined up with a wait time of over a year and a half until the end of the line. If RU can't start he should really pass the turn.
Inactivity is still a large problem, I think it would only increase with two mains.
Surprisingly, I didn't have that big of an inactivity problem with my game.
I still say the best way to go about it is to just not have unlimited signups and hope you get a big reserve pool so you can take out anybody who's even lookin' like he might go inactive.

This is really a big thing to take into consideration when hosting a large game. Minis too but not as much. If you can keep people active beyond votes it cuts down on inactivity a great deal.
So how does hopping back in the line work? I'm trying to push to run my phalla sooner, if work permits (shift work makes things hard).
My idea was that you could go into "Games On Hold" if you were in the top five games, and games on that list could go to spot five at a more convenient time for the host.

I'm still settling in at the new place and not quite ready to hunker down into my phalla, so if Frosteey wants to go ahead, then please do. I should be ready after that though, so I hope that's ok with everyone.
Hey man, Phalla is hard work and I want to make sure I put in a decent performance for my first hosting job. I COULD start now but I would totally be half-assing it. Quality is worth waiting for, is it not? :P

Yeah, that was pretty fucked up balance wise. Perhaps you could have created a healer villager that could turn rhinos back into humans. That might have helped.
