That one flies over everyone's heads when you're a kid but you catch it later-on.
Also, sorry about the dates. Bo idea what I was looking at to see that.
I'll probably go at the end of the month. Never saw the first one in theaters as I was still pre-natal at the time. Saw the second film in theaters when I was 5 or 6.
I think Ghostbusters might genuinely be my favorite movie ever
Like, sure, I respect and love other movies more for different reasons
but out of every movie in the world, if it was playing on tv and you were flipping through the channels, what's the one movie you'd stop to watch no matter how many times you'd seen it before?
for me, it's ghostbusters
maybe big lebowski too
Look, I respect a lot of your opinions as if they were my own, because they are almost all the same as my own. We get along really well both online and off.
I have seen Ghostbusters more than any other movie. I watched it endlessly as a child, everytime I was home sick from school or my parents brought me to the video store. It was one of the first DVDs I ever bought and I got the blu-ray when that was released.
Aliens is a decent action movie (I prefer Alien because I like suspense/horror) but if somebody gave me the choice between the two I'm much more likely to pick Ghostbusters.
Know what show was actually okay? Extreme Ghostbusters. Yeah it was full of late 90s "extreme" bullshit, but it was actually pretty watchable if you consider the Real Ghostbusters.
I feel the same way. It payed proper homage to the original and the characters were all pretty well-written. It was done by the same studio that made the Men in Black cartoon and I feel they're both of equally-high quality.
It's hilarious how bent out of shape some people get when they see that one of the characters is a paraplegic, though. It's on-par with the opposition that rose to express outrage when Donald Glover was proposed as a speculative Spider-Man candidate.
Okay first Donald Glover said it as a joke. Nobody ever proposed that. He did so to point out that Hollywood is far from colorblind. People seriously missed the point.
Second a Ghostbuster in a wheelchair is idiotic not only because its PC bullshit but because it makes no sense. Nevermind that New York is 80 percent stairs these guys fight in hell worlds almost daily( particularly in extreme). I don't think Hades has access ramps. I believe there's an episode where his chair breaks and they have to carry him.
Through hell .
On Spanish American stereotype guys back.
They bonded and became friends.
I think the point I'm trying to make is Extreme Ghostbusters is awful.
I have a podcast now. It's about video games and anime!Find it here.
Do you think Political Correctness is stealing jobs from good, God-fearing, able-bodied, white males and the one approved token black character?
They gave Garret plenty of limitations and aside from Eduardo's accent and tan he didn't differ any from if he'd been a cocky white dude. The show was pretty good and if your complaint is that you couldn't get over the diversity of the cast then you need to take a hard look at yourself.
I think the dude's point was that if you were going down the list of people you'd want to bust ghosts with, a guy in a wheelchair is probably at the bottom of the list.
He's probably unable to really chase ghosts. Or get up into attics where ghosts tend to hang out.
He's probably pretty easy for a ghost to disable too. You know, by knocking some furniture in front of him.
Plus, they frequently fought ghosts in a hell dimension. You know where you don't want to have to worry about a guy in a wheelchair?
Hell Dimensions.
I am in the business of saving lives.

yeah he got pretty angry about it, but he made some good points.

Wow.
I would not mind the diverse cast if it wasn't so obviously designed to be such. Its annoying. They didn't make him paraplegic because it would make for interesting stories they did it to be "diverse "
Eduardo was definitely not well developed either. The accent is my main sticking point. That and he's not cocky he's an unlikable prick that learns a lesson then forgets it next episode so his toy bio still makes sense.

it's super important to note that The Real Ghostbusters is the best thing to happen, cartoon-wise, ever
this is why we are best buds forever

Guys. I ordered one of the replica Ghost Traps from Matty Collectors. One one side I feel a little ashamed. On the other side, bustin' makes me feel good.

But. . .
Aliens.
I will say no more.
It was showing a few times at a local theatre earlier this year, and I missed out. Would've loved to have seen it on the big screen.

But, hey. Apples and oranges, right?
Also how much of a crime is it that the forums are telling me that Ghostbusters isn't a word?

It's a shame the guy they got to imitate him in those movies was just doing it for a paycheck.
