I wrote two paragraphs about narrative design and the player problem of returning to old saves in narrative-driven games you haven't played in a year. And then basically all of the notes I have written down after that are the movie references in Deadly Premonition.

Realtalk: I am being informed that I should try and write for realsies instead of just fucking around on forums and occasionally shitting out some slashfiction to amuse myself.
Write things that interest you, submit said writings to places that you think might be interested themselves
Repeat for years and years and years
(That's not me being flippant, the only real advice I'd ever give is that writing begets writing, even if you're writing about how you're not writing or can't think of what to write- that's still writing, and you can only get better at it)

Yeah, I just haven't been in "get shit done" mode in a while, so everything is loft conceptualizing that just floats awaaaaaay
Sara and I are eating dinner in this pub next to a table full of CCP World of Darkness MMO devs. "There should be, like, an ice cream truck, but it sells alcohol." Investigative journalism; you heard it here first, folks.
i've just decided to work on a piece about the upcoming aliens game, because it looks toothless and like the people designing it don't have any idea what horror is

Find a tabloid newspaper
Forget the meaning of the word "integrity" and drink away your guilt every night
Does this still work if you can't drink, or is that required?
Wait, that sounds too artistic to be something a hack can do
Goddamn it, this is too hard, I want out of the advisory game
i would agree that it's not a necessary thing especially since long before payment occurs the site has to become self-sustaining

I'm working on something, but it's not about any game in particular, just about what makes a good mobile game you can play one-handed
:winky:
well then it succeeds.
but why would you use that franchise to make non-horror games? it's like making a silent hill restaurant management sim
I wonder if he still has my comments saved in a document somewhere. Although I'm pretty sure I can remember most of the pertinent points.
