They were making an American-style sci-fi show, so that means lots of sex and swearing and bloodshed

Also terribleness, but that's more of a social commentary issue

23 if you include the lesser known Novelsation "The Curse of Foetal Death" where the doctor's parents repeatedly try to conceive only to have his mother miscarry.

I just noticed how similar new who Doctors are to the "Curse of Fatal Death" ones.
9: Hey look guys! I have a girlfriend now! <3<3<3

10: "cute, sexy and lick-the-mirror handsome"

11: Is a bit shy of girls this time around....

Does this mean we get sexy, dramatic Hugh Grant Doctor, followed by a crazy gender bender version?

I liked captain jack when he wasn't in torchwood.

I disliked how he was written.

I mean he was a different person to who the Doctor had been travelling with in the new series.

Making him invincible was a bit silly though. When he was just hiding guns up his butt and hitting on everything he was fine though.

he was basically han solo in season one. after then he was just anything RTD wanted him to be

Realising that River Song is Moffat's Captain Jack made me realise even further just how crappy a character Jack is

I also want to reiterate how fucking much I love the Eleventh doctor. I rewatched Amy's Choice. He plays the beginning perfectly.

"People here live well into their nineties."
"Oh, well don't let that get you down!"

"So, what do you do around here to stave off the...you know..."
    "Boredom?"
    "...self harm."

I love the way he has just the tiniest flickering smile just after he's realised that he, Amy and Rory are having their realities played with.

*worried look* "This is going to be a tricky one..."

    ...

    ...

    *tiny smile*

This episode had some really great lines.
"This is bad. This is very, very bad. Look at this X-ray. Your brain is completely see-through."
"One reality was always too much for you, Doctor. Take two, and call me in the morning."

If the doctor was smart he'd realise that you can know you are in a dream if you grab your nose shut your mouth and try to breath.

you can't control your own actions in a dream, unless you know it's a dream already

i mean you might as well say if the doctor was smart he'd realise that dinosaurs can't fly after you in hot pursuit in real life, only in dreams

Yes, but he knew one of them was a dream.

What I am trying to say is that I am smarter than the doctor.

This show just keeps on impressing me. It's like, when I got to the end of the first series and they were replacing Christopher Eccleston , I thought they could never find an actor to awesome enough to fill his shoes, but David Tennant managed to charm the pants off me by the first episode of season two ("Do you know what I do when I see a great-big-button??"). And just when I think I've seen the finest episode they have to offer, the manage to top it by the next, no matter how cheesy or ridiculous the sneak peak looks.

That said, I just finished season 2 and
The last two episodes were Armaddeadon levels of fan service at the expense of real drama, but I'm glad it picked back up on the emotional front near the end.

I also quite enjoyed the bickering between the Cybermen and Daleks. The way the Daleks always seem to lose their shit and flail about never ceases to entertain me.

good lord the episode summaries in Boxee for Dr. Who are horrid
    School Reunion

When the Krillitanes exploit students to obtain ultimate power, Doctor Who and Rose come to the rescue. Much to Who's dismay, he bumps into an old colleague who is just as unhappy to see him as he to see her. And the TARDIS gets a new crewmate
