They're actually going to print the second installment of Seaguy "The Slaves of Mickey Eye".
Morrison held 52 hostage for it.
I love you.
Here's another favorite sequence of mine from Spider-Man's Tangled Web. It's the conclusion to Flowers for Rhino, a take on the Flowers for Algernon story that follows the character of Rhino as dissatisfaction with his dull wit drives him to undergo an experimental surgery that increases his intelligence.
Unlike the original story, though, the flaw is not in the impermanence of the procedure's effects, but rather the continued development of the subject's mind afterwards.
The issue was met with some controversy among fandom, as the events of 9/11 would not have been considered a major disaster within the context of the Marvel Universe. Furthermore, certain villains, including Magneto, Kingpin, Dr. Doom, and Dr. Octopus appear to express outrage, but these villains have participated in innocent bloodshed or mass murder on many occasions. A common joke amongst fans is that these villains were only distraught because they hadn't thought to do it first. JMS defended the issue, including the criticism of the four villains

Fuck those people. Honestly.
It's a more than fair point.

I'll second the "Shazam!, Shazam, SHAZAM!" moment of Kingdom Come.
Another of my favorite moments is in Red Sun:
"Why don't you just put the whole world in a bottle, Superman?"
3rd for the Kingdom Come. Also, the panel just before superman comes back to his senses at the end of Kingdom Come, when it looks like he really is about to open a can of asskicking on normal people.

I don't necessarily think the event portrayed in Spider-Man was a bad idea, so much as the bunch of evil sacks of shit standing on ground zero a bloo blooing was tasteless.
I wouldn't call it tasteless when it was clearly motivated by good intentions.
Just ill-conceived. They assumed people would put aside continuity when faced with sentimentality and emotional resonance, but some people won't put aside continuity for anything.
But Doc Doom crying about it is fucking ridiculous.
I mean, he made a suit of armor from the flayed flesh of his lifelong love after essentially murdering her in an extremely painful way.
I doubt he would shed a tear.
Dude, I'm telling you.
It fucked with Richards and THAT'S why Doom was pissed.
I dunno if I'd call it POWERFUL, but a scene that made me really like Cyclops(besides his recent powerless badassery with a gun) is when it's him, Wolverine, and someone else(Kitty? Emma?) standing in a forest, and the first panel is a closeup of Wolverine and Cyclops putting his glasses down, and Logan says "Ya know Scott..." and it pans out to show a devastated landscape from Cyclops' blast, "I remember why you're the leader..."
All in all, there was no way you couldn't do that issue. New York is part of the mythos of the character.
Thank you
And it's not just Spidey. It's a lot of Marvel characters. The FF are in NYC, Avengers are based there, Daredevil hangs in Hells Kitchen (or used to. I haven't followed Daredevil in a while.). New York City is a huge part of Marvel.

Honestly, if you leave out the couple panels with the villians, it's a good comic. I really liked the little look at Cap we got, where he's just looking out over Ground Zero and Spidey thinks "I can't imagine what he's thinking, what with him having lived through somethng like this before."
But even though I thought it was a decent issue doesn't mean Doom crying is any dumber.
The Walking Dead #17 AKA "Rick breaks his hand on something"
One of the inmates of the prison (wrongly assumed to be harmless) does away with Hershel's little girls in horrific manner.
And makes a move on Andrea.
This was a bad decision, as Rick proceeds to flip the fuck out.
As the group of survivors look on in awe after he's pulled away, they wonder what they're going to do with him. They really don't have a set of rules for their loose community. This is Rick's stance on the matter:

Captain America #25. Yeah, made me cry even though I heard about it a few house before my trip to the store. And in Top 10 when Girl One sacrifices herself. And that scene in Kingdom Come when Flash pulls our narrator from whatever weird sub dimention the Spector had them in.
I was younger when I read this but I remember it bringing a tear to my eye for sure. During the Onslaught arc when Onslaught reveals Professor X bound inside of him there's a great panel drawn by Joe Madureia that shows the pure rage of Cyclop's face as he says "Take him." to all of the other heroes. That single tiny panel showed just how much of a father figure Xavier was to Cyclops. Also what followed was great as well with Thor tearing a hole right through Onslaught screaming "XAVIER SHALL BE FREE!!!"
John Horus and some other dudes were science-weapon superheroes for a while. Something got screwed up, and at least one of them was killed and another guy was crippled. Only Horus kept up the superhero thing, apparently becoming some kind of adviser to the government or something. After some time, he gets fed up with the corruption and does something terrible-- he slaughters the Prez, the Veep and some other guys.

There's a page or two where Peter is just reciting Peter Pan to her, and then him crying over her body while he says one last line. I cried a little.
Ill see your Last Castle and raise you basically the entire Frog Prince story from 1000 Nights of Snowfall.
Or if you want to be specific, the scene with him
Fuckin' A.
:^:
Fuck those people. Honestly.
It's a more than fair point.
Which people?
The ones that think it was dumb?
Because it was fucking stupid
The end may spell this out for you.

I am a freaking nerd.
I don't read X-Men. Don't know why, but I've never liked them.
Specifically, as a team. I like individual characters, in and of themselves, but not as part of the X-Men.
Wolverine and Iceman are the perfect examples.
That was my favorite moment through out the whole series
that post is wrong.
I just think the thing was fucking tasteless

I think that was the first time I flipped off the comic while reading Transmet, since Warren Ellis was never sitting in front of me.
Shock, horror and despair. That was a great arc.

Anyone have a scan of that?
Oh god
Business.
Oh god.
That was horrible
Thank you

Edit: Where did that post go and goddamn it that picture needs to be resized or broken into two different pictures.
The entire stories of Up is Down, Black is White, and The Slavers.
Yes.
Also, wish I was 18 so my shop would sell me Punisher MAX.
I didn't even know there were restrictions like that.
My favorite moment was the entire Cadmus arc.
Mark is being beaten brutally.
And then this heartbreaking exchange happens:
IT IS CRITICAL.
Addendum: If you don't get even a little teary eyed at the events portrayed therein you might not have a soul.
