I am here to indicate my desire to run a mini and enlist some help for it. Thus far I have a theme and a story behind it and I would be looking for a co-host to be running the mechanical portion of it. The mechanics I have come up with thus far are very loose and can be adapted if need be.
The mini will be based on The Hunger Games, but knowledge of it for my co-host is less required. There will be no spoilers as it will be a sort of prequel to the events of the book by a good 30 years, not including any of the main characters in a meaningful way (short of one).
This game would have to wait until mid August at earliest. Please indicate your desire to assist here and your time zone; we will need to collaborate prior to narrations so I can tailor them to results.
I'd be tempted by that, but I think I'd rather play. I probably can't do any serious designing until August anyways, and you'd probably want to have it more fleshed out by the time you are planning on actually running it :P

I have to say that MrT sort of inspired me to the point of having a single victor after a guaranteed number of days and I initially wanted to try that. It may or may not become a factor.

Will it be massively complicated? Yet bet!
On the level of a Blarney/Infidel or Gumpy's recently concluded main? Almost definitely!
Will it be more somewhat more balanced than Gumpy's? Hopefully!
Will it create the potential for hilarious stories about assassinating Bedlam's entire family out of revenge for crashing the Star's Fury? Of course!
Is it totally flexible in terms of size (above a certain minimum threshold I'd peg as like 30? Yes, yes it is!
Do we know when we'll be ready? No, no we do not. Did I mention it will be massively complicated?
It's going to be awesome.

Well it looks like I'll be stuck in the office for a few hours from a crashed Oracle server, so I might as well write the mini I've been thinking of. It will be pretty traditional but come with posting restrictions, because those were fun in ebum's Phalla to Restore Sanity/Fear and I like the idea.

There will be traditional mafia with a kill and the village win condition will be to eliminate them. Then a bunch of other stuff going on as well. Hybrid, I would say.

Heh, I have a Masterchef mini cooking along the same lines. It uses the mechanics from Sooga's Five Star Chef game, but I only have time to work on it on the weekends.

I came up with some novel mechanics and ideas for that game. :winky:
There were also a couple sympathizers, and the mechanics were able to be influenced by daily events and RP, so there was a conversion or two.
