Found another split-screen video showing off the differences between a scene in Super Sentai and Power Rangers. This one's pretty cool on both sides though.
All region free. The DS beat-em-up is amazing. And there's an even better sequel! The card game is actually surprisingly playable, as long as you look up what the 'special' cards do. You'll memorize them after a few hours of checking notes.

I had this odd moment several months ago where I suddenly remembered the kids game show, Legends of the Hidden Temple. Like seconds before I knew nothing then out of nowhere every facet of that show which I watched a ton of, filled my head.
That was a pretty great show. Purple Parrots for life.

One thing I loved about MMPR/Zeo was when they expanded the pre-zord fighting. I could recognize when the Sentai footage was spliced in (it was pretty easy to see due to color quality) but I think around the time of the movie or so, they actually did some scenes of the Rangers vs mook fights locally. I remember this for two reasons:
a) I could tell the difference in shade for pink ranger especially
cool smiley) there was a credits/outtake scene where a ranger was fighting a tengu/bird guy on a pier or dock or something and I believe the tengu missed their mark and fell in. Then the actor decided it was break time and took a swim while in costume. Including the backstroke. All the while, the ranger is laughing.
Also I think my favorite zord was Zeo, because it was just as I wanted it to be with a center piece (Red Dragon turning humanoid) and the rest became it's armor.

I'll look into it. Though I still remember the "prime time" premier of Zeo (5/6pm instead of 3) and the first transformation taking like the same length of time of the old Megazord, then the other animals joined in and me and my cousin squee'd "THAT WAS ONLY THE FIRST ONE!?!?!"
We grew up with a lot of the toys from our grandmother before they were ever a thing in the states (she's Japanese and her brother would send us stuff like that and Macross veritechs, and she would buy use the candies/toys from the Asian markets).

Well this summer, Disney actually started up a sequel series.
Not only has it been greenlit for a second season, but Warner Bros is now thinking of doing the same thing with another 90's show.

I was about to ask if he did Conan the Adventurer, but that theme's more orchestral and not really metal at all so probably not.
