Arrow has been known to use code names in it's casting stuff so maybe there is still hope.
I like to think the fact my first thought was that it was a "Foundation" reference instead of anything else says something good about how I've spent my life.
I'm watching Justice League War (night shift and it happened to be on TV) and the moment about 10 seconds into this clip is goddamn hilarious. It's like something out of Looney Tunes.
I feel like that movie was a parody of the comics. There were just so many "unintentionally" funny moments. I especially like the beginning when Batman tries to interrogate a parademon. It was clearly a giant cyborg monster and Batman was trying to intimidate it like it was a common criminal.

So, I dunno, what do you guys think? Personally I didn't think that New Avengers page was that spoilery although I can see how
the Squadron Supreme Earth getting wiped out
would be a cool moment some might not want ruined
but are all preview pages spoilered? I dunno! Opinions please!
Marvel making sure I know every single twist coming in my books before I can even buy them has become one of my biggest pet peeves in the last few years
( Usually these boards are pretty spoiler free, but when it's 4 of the top 10 stories in my RSS it becomes hard to avoid, I would have loved to read, for example, Superior without knowing what was coming.)

Doom was less than perfect.. but still enjoyable enough, partially because they brought back the voice cast from the animated series.
Well except Aries Spears, because DC stopped giving two shits about Jon Stewart after JLU ended I guess.
It's almost kind of weird that they just defaulted to Hal Jordan with all the GL media, when you consider that many of the fans considered Stewart the default lantern just because he was the only one to get any mainstream attention outside of comics up until they went for a live-action movie.
Huh. I didn't even know they made a one-shot with Agent Carter and I just found it. Now I'm even more unbelievably excited for the show . Easily the best one-shot so far in my opinion with A Funny Thing being a close second.

I think you mean Phil Lamarr.
Hal Jordan being the default GL is probably because of Geoff Johns getting his word in.
The movies based on newer comics tend to be much worse. Bruce Timm not being involved probably made things worse too since he was always critical of his own work. If you listen to the commentaries with Bruce, he's always pointing out stuff that he did wrong and could be improved. WB/DC really needs a guy like him.
Gjokaj is a chameleon, and definitely one of the best people on Dollhouse. Really glad to see this announcement.

I've been wanting them to cast Gjokaj in something ever since they announced J. August Richards was going to be in AoS, opening the floodgates for more Whedonverse actors.

Man, Dollhouse.
I enjoyed that show a lot but if someone wanted to argue that it's bad i wouldn't really know how to counter them
A whole bunch of good acting in it though!

I hate giant tank Darkseid so much
Because when dealing with the embodiment of tyranny, the ideal presentation is "A very big dude what can beat up Green Lantern".

Yeah, but I like to think that the animation people intentionally made things more EXTREME!!! on purpose to sabotage the movie.
I believe he also says something to the effect of "I am entropy" in that movie.
So I don't think the animation people wanted to make that movie considering how they made Darkseid a manipulative bastard in the DCAU.

... hold on.
Captain America: Cap's Kooky Quartet!
man, i somehow forgot all about battling boy and everything
i suck
hahahahhaa
when the robots start punching him
I doubt the team animating that was the same crew from the usual DCAU stuff.
New Frontier is really good.

I have not read an av club article before
are they all written that way
its the worst
Not all of them, no. This article appears to be trying to imitate Sean O'Neal's style, without being nearly capable of pulling it off.
I think the writer has been listening to too much Nightvale.
It's way more entertaining when you read it with Cecil Baldwin's voice.
That's not nearly as painful!

But most of the writers, editors, story-boarders, directors, producers, etc. are from the old DCAU. A lot of them were promoted from lower positions.

that's great
though I'm a little curious about the "one character per actor" rule that Marvel has floated in the past
maybe they aren't going to count the cameo
re: pronunciation - I tend to go with gee-yo-kai
"en-ver jo-kai", basically
That was literally a seconds-long part in Avengers. I don't think he even had a name.

Just by the way, two out of the three major theorems/schools of normative ethics would say what Namor did was an immoral act.
so i've been published again and I'm on the staff for Women Write About Comics now, no big deal
