I don't really know anything about the Book of Eli, so I didn't really have anything to ad-lib into it, but if any of the ones on your list are more my speed I'll definitely see if I can't add in an subtitle here or there for laughs.
Someone else here said it but I don't remember who
Maybe Bale?
But one of the great things about Big Trouble in Little China is that at no point does Kurt Russell ever understand or even really believe most of the shit that's going on around him
His only concerns are if he or his friend are about to die at that very moment and the rest he just kinda goes, sure, whatever! And runs with it
Mainly I just love how he never stops flipping at every freaky thing that's going on.
"Oh god what is THAT"
"Oh for fuck's sake, where'd THAT come from"
"IS THIS FOR REAL"
It's like, he's still doing his best to stay macho, and so instead of losing his shit he's just complaining about how crazy the movie is.
Also I just got to that part Mr. G mentioned ,where he shoots the ceiling and debris falls on him.
Best part is that it straight up knocked him out.
We just got to the big finale and the dude is flat on his ass.
It was basically David Hasselhoff and one of the actresses that wasn't Pamela Anderson, and some other dude getting caught up in crazy fantasy/sci-fi adventures that had nothing whatsoever to do with Baywatch.
I think someone basically pitched a new show, and the execs were like "Why we don't throw Baywatch into it, then people will watch it, right?"

Eh, not quite. It started off as a serious detective kinda show.
But then the producers noticed that this show on Fox called X-files was getting huge ratings....
Finally watched Captain America: The Winter Soldier! There was a ton of stuff in this movie! I'll spoiler it all in case anyone goes in as blind as I did.
The chunks of it that are kind of like a buddy comedy with Cap and Black Widow are great. The two actors played incredibly well together onscreen. And for fuck's sake, give Black Widow her own movie!
Not being a huge buff of Marvel lore, I was honestly shocked that Anthony Mackie's character turned out to be such a big deal. I'd never even heard of Falcon, I don't think. But maybe I shouldn't have been surprised, considering they cast Mackie for the role.
The reveal with Bucky being the Winter Soldier, that was kinda cool, although I feel like there were only two real ways to react to it: either you are a Marvel comics nerd and you already knew it was coming, or you were like me and so un-steeped in Marvel lore that your only exposure to Bucky Barnes was in the first Cap movie, and you probably kinda forgot about him, so it wasn't a huge deal. I wonder if there really is a third type of viewer that saw the mask come off and gasped because they remembered him from the first film, but not from the arc in the comics.
Hydra again? I probably should have guessed. It was neat.
And then Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch at the very end? Cool!
That last point in particular, it just makes me even more sad that Disney/Marvel don't currently own the rights to all their own characters. I did a bit of googling after watching this one--apparently films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe can't even refer to mutants at all? That's just so lame.
Anyway, I just need to watch Thor: the Dark World and I'll have seen all the movies leading up to Avengers 2. Woo!

haha, seriously?
I never knew that.
I only ever saw the crazy supernatural shit.
That's hilarious.

Huh, my plan for the evening was to start watching Captain America: Winter Soldier for the first time in a couple hours time.
I mean, this was also my plan for Tuesday, but parenting throws curveballs into getting 2.5 hours free on a weeknight sometimes, so you gotta learn to adapt.

I watched it over the course of three (3) different sittings. Maybe I'm especially tolerant to having a movie broken up into multiple viewing sessions, but it didn't bother me at all.
It's just a superhero flick, anyway. There are other genres that I think demand a bit more attention!

Forever Knight was great late night cheesy fare.
It wasn't quite self aware, but it was great schlock stupid fun nonetheless.
EDIT: You're just doing that because I said 'self aware', aren't you @Geth?
Darkman 3: Die, Darkman, Die! Is one of the best movie titles ever.
I think the title was just lashing out because Darkman wasn't Liam Neeson anymore.
I used to watch Forever Knight as a kid. They would show it on Fox I think at like 11pm on a Friday or Saturday, when I was allowed to stay up and watch TV. The same time they would show things like Silk Stalkings.

CBS, not Fox. Both shows were part of their "Crimetime After Primetime" block that CBS ran with after the news until they picked up Letterman and he took over the time slot. My mom used to watch most of that lineup, but Forever Night and Silk Stalkings are the only ones I actually remember.

Fun fact: The Falcon has the distinction of being the first African-American superhero in mainstream comics.
Re: The Bucky reveal, my mother actually did gasp and say "oh no". It was pretty great.
Netflix is expanding its investment in original content.
It has signed Adam Sandler to a four-movie deal. In a release announcing the news, Sandler had the following to say: "I immediately said yes for one reason and one reason only . Netflix rhymes with Wet Chicks. Let the streaming begin!!!!"

There's some splinter universe where Punch-Drunk Love started Adam Sandler on his own version of a Mcconaughssaince

So apparently Dracula Untold is the start of Universal's shared monster movie universe, and there will be something at the end to hint at the next film

I love this movie.
the lightning dude lets most of them escape just so he can light everything up so that he gets a cool shot walking away from burning rubble.
holy shit
I remember that show! It was kind of terrible, but I definitely watched it all.

Look, they're resistant to injury, obsessive-compulsive, detail focused, and incredibly good at talking people around.
Plus, they can turn into bats before they get Police Academy training. That's a real budget savings.
Why I fear the ocean.

Angel. (Except most of season 4)
Of course, it was even better when it was about a vampire who ran a law firm.

It's pretty late, though.
Probably gonna head to bed before I'm finished with it. Oh well!
I feel like it's probably gonna show too much
Which is a splendid visual feast, although I've already seen it before so it's no surprise. Still, it's fun to watch again.
Most of the images are from other trailers.
Craig Bond doesn't fuck around.
Yeah, pretty much. I saw a promotional image on IMDB and that's the morsel I'm allowing myself.
