Another good group photo.
Unsure how much of the perspective is due to the ship dimensions and how much to weird camera distortion.

I assume that those are the 2-3x models to show off the details and that they will be normal TIE size when you get them.

Looking at those pictures, all I can think of is "That's a huuuge bitch!"
Yeah the K wing looks ugly, but it sorta reminds me of the A-10... Which is also ugly.
Also, not sure what all you nerds were talking about up there with your fancy EU Black Crisis Fleet and Crystal Star, but do these EU ships as part of Wave VII signify that they're now canon (again)? I mean, all the new boxes have the Disney logo on the side after all. I haven't been keeping up with what's being released other than The Force Awakens. Is there nothing to pull from Rebels or any of the other stuff coming out?

From the panel;
Oh, and as far as the EU goes Disney's official stance seems to be something along the lines of;
"It prints MONEY!!! :-D"
The K-Wing is supposed to be a B-52 Bomber of Star Wars, hence why it has stupid gunner cockpits everywhere.
Let me know if this gets annoying and I'll knock it off, I tried doing this a bit in the mechwarrior thread but I don't think that many people found it interesting. I like to look at the scale of real modern warplanes compared to their Star Wars equivalents. Going off of Wookipedia, the K-Wing is 16m long, which syncs closely with the 16.36m length of the A-10. The A-10 is single-seat and has 11 hardpoints, while the K-Wing has a crew of 4 (Pilot, WSO, 2 x gunners) and boasts 18, though ten of those are on the upper wings which makes me question how bombs released from there would achieve safe-separation. Maybe those top hard-points are for forward-firing gun & rocket pods only? Though comparing it to a modern fighter might be going the wrong way. I looked at a few WWII light & medium bombers, and the A-26 Invader seems like the closest match for size and role. At 15.24m the A-26 carried 3 crewmembers (pilot, WSO, and gunner) and carried 6,000 lbs of armament, note that translating that into hardpoints is difficult: it was an internal bomb-bay and I'm not that familiar with how the racks worked. For reference, on its eleven hardpoints the A-10 can carry up to 16,000 lbs of armament, so a 2-ship of A-10s has as much destructive capability (and will deliver it more precisely) than a flight of 6 A-26s.
I know that this all goes right out the window when it comes to space and lasers and such. But it's fun for me at least to think about the size and scale of operations of each of these starfighters as they'd appear in real life. For example, the X-Wing at 12.5 meters is smaller even then a MiG-21 which was known to be very small and difficult to see (except for it's highly reflective chrome paint scheme).
I find it interesting myself as I know that Lucas himself was a fan of the WWI dogfight news reels and tried to capture that feel with the dogfights in Star Wars. So it would make sense that the ships of Star Wars would be (or should be) built to appear to be as realistic and practical as possible. Now, not all the ships were built by Lucas so some ships might have been designed as "looks cool" vs. "could be workable" but that's what happens when you basically allow anyone to add whatever they want to your world and declare it all cannon.
Yeah man, totally. That's why I love this game: I'd have never thought it was possible to have a board game capture the essence of dogfighting. Every time I play I can evoke some serious mental images of how this would look or feel in real life. I'm not going to go hunt for the quote, but I remember reading somewhere that originally in A New Hope the fighters yawed instead of banking to turn, but everyone watching thought that it looked "boring." I mean, it's totally unrealistic so I'm always walking a dangerous line when I start trying to compare it with real-world stuff, but damn does watching a Star Wars space fight look intense.
Back to the K-Wing. I wonder what it's stats and upgrade options will be (I couldn't make it out from that presentation). I can't help but wonder how they plan on differentiating it from the Y-Wing and B-Wing. Same thing with that Tie Predator: it looks a lot like the bomber, which seems very different from it's Wookieepedia entry. More importantly, what kind of gameplay option is the Empire missing between the Decimator and the Tie Bomber that it could fulfill?
So this was my idea for the VCX-100 (aka, the Ghost):
The VCX-100 would be similar to the YT-1300 except that it can dock/deploy a smaller Attack Shuttle from the rear of the ship.
Deploying the Attack Shuttle counts as the VCX-100s action for the phase.
A deployed Attack Shuttle chooses the 1 Forward movement tile and faces the opposite direction of the VCX-100.
If the Attack Shuttle lands on another ship or obstruction during deployment, the deployment is cancelled and the action lost.
The Attack Shuttle gets no action the turn it was deployed, but does get to attack.
The Attack Shuttle can dock with any friendly VCX-100 if it ends it's movement phase with the entire front of the Attack Shuttle completely overlapping the rear of the VCX-100.
When docked, removed the Attack Shuttle from the playfield.
A docked Attack Shuttle restores 1 Shield Token each turn it remains docked.
If the VCX-100 is destroyed with a docked Attack Shuttle, both ships are lost.
Attack Shuttles can start the game either docked or deployed.
Example stats and pilots:
Hera grants the deploying Attack Shuttle the option of choosing which direction it faces instead of always facing away.
Sabine basically gets a full turn of movement and action when deploying.
Other pilots:
Kanan Jarrus (VCX-100) - PS 6. Ability: At the start of the combat phase, give a free Focus Action to any friendly Attack Shuttle on the field.
Smuggler Captain (VCX-100) - PS 3.
New Cadet (VCX-100) - PS 1.
Ezra Bridger (Attack Shuttle) - PS 4. Ability: While docked, add his PS to the VCX-100 pilot's skill.
Co-Pilot (Attack Shuttle) - PS 3.
New Guy (Attack Shuttle) - PS 1.
Some Upgrade cards include:
Phantom - Title: VCX-100 only. Attack Shuttle can use any speed 1 maneuver template when deploying. (Cost: 2)
Ghost - Title: Attack Shuttle only. Add the Evade icon to your Action Bar. (Cost: 2)
Chopper - Crew. At the start of the Action Phase, remove 1 Shield token to fully restore the Shields on a docked Attack Shuttle. This Shield token cannot be restored by any means. (Cost: 5)
Garazeb Orrelios - Crew. Allows any friendly Attack Shuttle to dock from the rear or sides. (Cost: 3)
Magnetic Relays - Upgrade. Player may use the speed 2 forward maneuver template when using a Deployment action. (Cost: 1)
Now obviously this would require a lot of testing to see if it would work properly, or even be fun at all. Costs would have to be tweaked for balance. In my opinion, the ships would come packaged together.
You're getting an awesome for effort, but it's too much info for me to think about. I kinda don't like the idea of an attack shuttle? I mean, I would like some more options to get into a furball without having smaller ships sniped, but carrying it there seems somewhat complicated and maybe a little too hard to counter.
I see how it could be unusual or complicated, but it does get the flavor of how the Ghost works in Rebels. Besides, if you don't add a fun mechanic twist you end up with another freighter that isn't different enough from the 1300 and 2400.

House's tooth will be my only purchase of wave 7. The other ships just look and sound bad to me. Only reason I will get the hounds tooth is because I know more diversity for the scum faction and well it's boss's ship. Hoping we can do some good list with him and Bob fett.
[Expletive Deleted] and I got our match in earlier.
Captain Kagi and his escort of Delta Squadron TIE Defenders faced off against the aces of the 181st in a dense field of mixed debris and small asteroids.
Delta Squadron was able to hold their own against Soontir Fel & Turr Phennir, buying Kagi the time he needed to provide heavy supporting fire.
I was eventually able to get Fel & Turr off the board, at the cost of both Deltas.
This unfortunately left a wounded Kagi to try to cope with a fresh, stealthed up Royal Guard Pilot. And for all my Lambda love, that ain't gonna happen. :-D
Congratulations and thanks again for an awesome match!
Played a game today for the first time in like 4-5 months. Introduced a new player and let him use all my stuff. Had a blast playing and it came down to the wire. Ironically, his last ship was Arvel Crynyd who's specially ability lets him ram ships and still target them. He did this to my Lambda Shuttle but forgot he was carrying the critical hit that makes him take damage when overlapping other ships.

It was a great match. The 181st carried the day, in part due to some lucky rolls in the beginning. But on two separate turns I managed to get a wounded Defender (no shields, 2 or 3 hull remaining) into firing range of two focused Interceptors, and there's no way to survive that. MVP was Fel due to some lucky rolls (including emerging unscathed from an ungodly number of shots to the face), but in the end it was only the (relatively) lowly Royal Guard who survived (completely unharmed).
It also didn't help Sokpuppet that Kagi's special ability was completely useless, since I had no targeting computers. I used the force instead. And flechettes aren't that bad for Interceptors with all their green manoeuvres. The Defenders? I learned to hate white K-turns.
I liked that there was some spread in pilot skill, too (Fel and Phennir at 9, Kagi at 8, Guard at 6 and Defenders at 1).
There was an entertaining bit fairly early when Kagi, Fel and Phennir crashed into each other two turns in a row, Kagi and Phennir not moving a mm either time. Kagi should have brought those anti-pursuit lasers
Also, C3PO vastly overestimated the dangers of asteroid fields: Despite flying over, through and into them several times, none of us took a single damage from obstacles. Go ahead, C3PO, tell me the odds.
List (100 pts):
Soontir Fel (TIE Interceptor) (27) w/ Royal Guard TIE (0), Push the Limit (3), Stealth Device (3), Shield Upgrade (4) - 37
@Ingram and I tried a couple of times last week to get our match in, but technical problems and sick three-year-olds intervened, so we're looking to reschedule it for the future.
Two new actions are Deploy (Hound's Tooth title allows a destroyed YV-666 to launch the Nashtah Pup Z-95 Headhunter. Sounds like a prelude to the Ghost) and SLAM (Take a second maneuver as an action but gain a Weapon Disabled token for the turn).
so extra munitions works on pretty much anything with more than a single torpedo slot
y-wings, b-wings, tie bombers and the decimator? plus the two new heavy assault ships, I think that's all of them. It definitely seems the most efficient on something with a lot of ordinance, so the y and b wings (and decimator) won't benefit quite as much as the other ships, which can take absurd amounts of torpedoes/bombs/missiles.
It does overlap... sort of.
Andrasta gives you the ability to drop different types of bombs, so you have a little more flexibility in what you bring with you, and is ultimately more expensive if you use all 3 slots, or something other than seismic charges.
Slave-1 will be more efficient point-wise with proximity mines and proton bombs (or the new cluster mines and possibly what looks like the new ion bomb), but you also lose the ability to bring different types of bombs.
Edit: I actually like that they have similar results, but both have trade-offs.

I think it's a side shot of the IG-2000. A likely fact supported by all the other ships back there being part of the S&V faction.
And yeah, the Kihraxz appears to be a Scum ship. According to the Wookiepedia, it was specifically developed for Black Sun.
It looks to be about 1.5x as wide as a bomber
