Dang I thought of it way too late, but your horror trip through google image search could have been lessened for marvel at least by adding "EMH" to the search.
a good 90% of Marvel Characters appeared in that series.
I have nothing of real value to add to this other than I am super excited by these brackets. Which means I will promptly forget to log in for the next couple of weeks/let my lurker tendencies take over and just watch.
A magician wandered along the beach, but no one needed him.
No roster updates, but today's tease has to do with the stipulations for the tournament itself. Next week I'll be revealing the matchups themselves, and you'll find out individual stipulations when the matches start. Each day of the tournament will feature four matches, and each day will have its own theme.
Here are the themes for the FIRST ROUND
2005
Horror
Musicals
Pro Wrestling
Rock and Roll
Space
TV Shows
Young Adult Fiction
This spotify playlist, which includes every song I posted in youtube form in the original incarnation of the thread, contains VALUABLE INSIGHT into the types of matchups you'll see, based on those titles. PS: Each day will feature a match from each region of the bracket.
Our first four matchups will be announced at 8 AM central, with the second set of four following at 10 am. Each announcement will be accompanied by a song from the playlist, to hint at what each day's theme is.

if it is wrestling, I hope the challenge is who can cut a better promo, as if it's actual wrestling some of those are really, really unfair
if it is based on ability to work a crowd, Superman would beat Batman, Squirrel Girl would beat Captain Marvel, She-Hulk would absolutely destroy Gamora, and Joker would probably murder the audience and win by default.
I know, that, on paper, some of these matchups seem pretty lopsided in terms of power levels and all of that. I want everyone to keep in mind that power levels are seriously not important at all in this contest, as these matches are essentially about creating alternate versions of characters, if that's what people want. For instance, a Superman/Batman fight with a Fallout theme wouldn't be those characters dropped as is into the Fallout universe, but Fallout style versions of those characters. Or really, whatever you guys want them to be, really.

controversial opinion: You're So Vain is a bad song that is only popular because it's probably talking shit about someone famous, and because people want to know who it is about
it's basically subtweeting: the song but decades early.

I wanted Atomic Robo in there, but I understand the contest is more interesting without clear and obvious winners!
Atomic Robo is in.

edit: For some reason Atomic Robo's competition needs to be Macramé, I have no explanation for why.

How do you pin her for the 3 count! she'd reverse it just by going through you!
Sorry, he's gonna take Young Adult Fiction hands down, have you seen his comic collection?
I am going to guess Horror, with the man comes around.
Maybe even a stephen king reference?

Oh see I don't know from wrestling.

In the context of singing? Batman beats Big Blue:

Except that's gonna be kinda hard considering you pretty much have to kill in that game. (I guess I could play a Nolan Batman oh ho ho).
