Each time there's one of these marathons I start thinking about trying to do a speedrun myself. This time I'm looking at Bionic Commando (2009).
There aren't a lot of speedruns of it and I've found a technique that they don't use. I'm having some trouble doing it reliably, but it is possible to throw an object and then grab it, causing you to be pulled along. It makes you move very fast and you can fly long distances.
I thought I had found a skip, but it turned out that the level exit isn't active until your waypoint points to it.
I sorta lost interest in Pokemon Blue when they were chaining the same glitches for 11 minutes, but it was completely and utterly fascinating before that.
My favorite run was still Ori and the Blind Forest, but I have a lot of catching up to do as well.

Finally got to watch the Boshy run. witwix always makes me laugh, and him and Ray pledging money per death gave it an extra level of hilarity.
Mario 0 star was awesome too, I don't know if I've ever seen the 0-star glitch done outside of TAS, let alone in a marathon.
Edit: Hahahaha finally watching the Gauntlet PC run. I'm so happy #stuffPJbreaks is still a thing, and I laughed at Murphagator saying, "Why do I do things with you?!" and PJ going "How does this happen???"

I hope everyone enjoyed the GDQ marathons this year! The marathon has gotten so big recently, with this being the first year that SGDQ passed the million mark. Just some last-minute reminders for people.
Today is the last day to buy SGDQ 2015 shirts from the Yetee. I believe the cutoff time is midnight central, but don't quote me on that. If you want a shirt, now is the time to get it! Three dollars of your purchase still goes to MSF and your shirt will arrive in a few weeks.
The Humble Bundle sale is over. If you're looking at a SGDQ 2015 game and it's on sale, then that's for some other sale they got going on and your purchase won't go toward MSF.
From what I can tell, regular donations are still open for now. With the bonus stream gone I'm not sure how long they will remain open, so consider donating if you hadn't got the chance this week.
Another reminder that the OP has links to good runs! If you missed out on the fun this week, give it a look. I am taking recommendations and slowly adding them to the OP.
Until AGDQ 2016!

@Bobkins Flymo your Rayman link in the OP goes to the Toejam and Earl run. Also, good list and thanks for making it!
The Games Done Quick channel has uploaded higher quality videos of each run, and in some cases certain sound or video issues may have been cleared up (no guarantees).
Not going to bother going through the OP and adding like 20 new links, but just an fyi.
I was confused at that date because I'd been assuming AGDQ stood for Autumn Games Done Quick.
There was a Halloween GDQ one year to raise money for a runner's health expenses or something (the Spooktacular), but this was back when the events were way more low-key. I don't think they could do another Autumn marathon as it would have to be small and could never live up to the hype.
gunna make for wonderful junk food, although i'll probably end up watching mostly archives cos i hate popping in halfway during a stream and work is lame

it was also great cos they had named frog Bubby
e: that is, I don't think it was the same person but it's a good combo
That's what giant bomb called it in the endurance run, so who did it first?

I'd been using the archive stream because those YouTube uploads are unlistenable in some cases

There's an actual prize on the line: a free trip to Japan, so they'll be playing at the top of their game.

Thought you might all appreciate this, a mini marathon of NES speedruns around Halloween.
Can two million be achieved? Only time will tell.
