    Hmm.

    Who was 'The Arbitrator'?
Biege Polo: "You will face him tomorrow, at fall of night, and you will know his final judgment."
Poss. the torturer? (see: desk with straps, torture instruments)
Definition: "A private, neutral person chosen to arbitrate a disagreement, as opposed to a court of law"
He acts outside the courts, 'civilized' law, proponent of 'social' law to fit a 'social' crime (ie. harassing Polo's daughter)

Was the Warden polo's relative? Was he alive when we left (he probably isn't anymore, polo gonna be pissed). Perhaps Arbitrator is another relative. Perhaps whole family is part of the system in this house which means... holy shit, lemme look some stuff up.

    Cassandra
    Robot/Human/Psycher/Mutant/Freaker - "Rule Breaker"
    - Seems old for age (seven year old? no way)
    - Lack ability to play
    - Temper tantrums beyond what should be expected (mob was afraid, remember?)
    - Withdrawal (heh, where to start)
    - Negative self esteem (Didn't think fixing LD was big deal, stop gap, etc.)
    - Passive watchfulness (look at all that categorizing of us)
    - Poor Social Skills (hard time vocalizing thoughts, commun. with Jimothy)
    - Extreme Shyness (Henry [adult, male] embarrassed her with praise, how did I miss this?)

these are all characteristics of abused or neglected children.

Also, look at the Warden - aggressiveness, controlling, sadistic, the furry porn.

This is a seriously fucked up house. No wonder the whole town (esp. Beige Polo [father? abuser?]) freaked out at Cassandra being out, that shit must be like Carrie times a billion.

i'd figured the house was being used for torture and that the arbitrator was that dude

    polo's alive maybe

was the warden left alive? Well probably not anymore
what did we even do with that body?

I'm thinking Polo isn't the "dad". Or if he is, then arbitrator might be another child (maybe the eldest/favorite/or is the special needs kid (special needs being the need to torture))

Didn't unlock any sweet new ads though because we done did everything retarded backwards.

I'm sick of getting knocked out....but Telekenitic(2) and forcefield(1) requires 3 ad points.:?

I really should have switched Mega-brain to Tetsuo, when i had the chance. I'm no good at being a super-genius. Perhaps i can say polo beat Syd so hard her brain got flipped, turned upside down, and i'd like to take minute if you'd sit there I'd tell you how I became...a Princess of the psycher powers.

Also I think our score should be upgraded because

Children lit on fire - 1
    Children horribly scarred - 1
Children most likely blown up - 2?

Everybody knows violence against kids is like double points.

If you want to go down that route, I'm sure Sydney can come up with a force-field equivalent for Pyrokinetic. She's have to figure out how, but she could do it. (Player's can research Ads is what I'm saying here.)

    [The Cap'n][4,2,2,OOO]

The Captain extricates himself from the bird enclosure and then nods towards the wheelchair cowboy.

"Yarr, thanks fer th' help matey, now that i'm out o' that thar prison, we can set sail t' find me booty."

He pulls out and unrolls a paper placemat with a pirate themed kids puzzle printed on it, and begins pouring over it, mumbling to himself.

A minute or so later, he puts away the "map" noticing that a large brawny robot had approached.

"Arr, metal man, be ye friend of foe?

If Husc is surprised by the appearance or speech patterns of the robot in front of him, he doesn't show it. He simply returns his pipe to its makeshift place on his back, folds his arms and says,"We are not looking for a fight, if that is what you are asking."

"Me and my companions are simply trying to get out of this city."

He looks at the cowboy next to the other robot sparingly for moment, before he turns and begins walking away,"This broken city is dangerous. You'd do well to come with us."

As you probably guessed, that was meant to say friend or foe.

    [The Cap'n][4,2,2,OOO]

"Arr, ye 'ave a crew do ye? We'd do well t' work together then. I jus' ask that ye let me speak t' yer cap'n, i got some information that he might find interestin'."

He taps his "map" with two fingers before following the large robot.

"Cap-tain? We have none." He gestures for them to follow him back to the others. While they walk, he looks down at where the smaller robot touches the thing in its hand.

"Words, then? I do not read." He pauses a moment, thinking. "What is your name?"

He looks closely at the map in the Captain's hands for a moment. His expression doesn't change, but an air of blankness comes off him and you can feel he can make neither heads nor tails of the object.

"Ah." He says absently, straightening up,"As you say, Captain. Our first priority is to get to the surface though."

Cowboy Dan grunts. Two metal things. Had the whole world become robots? He wouldn't be that surprised. Everything started going downhill when the railroad was put in. You couldn't get away after that, couldn't just ride on into the sunset.

He followed the two metal people, wheeling along. He grabs the map and takes a look. He tosses it on the ground and shakes his head at the metal pirate. He tries to convey through simple sign language that the map is useless.

The other metal person seemed a bit...well less piratey at least.

Ummm, we didn't get a grade...I wonder if we have to get out of the zoo first.

I am stuck between picking Focused Defense (about 70% chance to avoid an attack, Henry doesn't want to go down like a wuss again), Demoralizing Diss (Helpful in combat, but only 50/50 chance of any benefit), or some combo of 1 pt ads like Barter King and Reknown or even Rousing speech (90% chance to ignore 2 wounds/bruises, 44% to ignore 3)

I'm leaning towards Focused defense and then picking up DD later, any thoughts from other folks in HttW?

Given how piss-poor the group is in physical confrontations (barring Syd's pyrokinetics), we should probably be avoiding straight fights insofar as that's possible.

Everyone in the group has at least a 3 in either social or mental (or both), and between Jimothy's mind-reading, our Smooth Sons of Bitches, and Autohacking robot, if we can convince people to ask questions first and shoot later, we shouldn't have any problem not getting ourselves killed.

EDIT: Of course that's a mighty big "if".
