Well, I was going to play. Oh well!
See, I did all of you a favor.
You'd just kick me for abusing overpowered weapons like the M24 anyway.
Defibbing should be worth less points when defending than attacking. Medics going around defibbing on attackers are essential. In one round I'm sure Tom and I alone gave our team 60 extra tickets. While defibbing can be useful on defense from time to time, it's mostly just point whoring.
While I was having fun with it last night, it probably shouldn't be encouraged so much by the system.
Killing Asiina* should be worth more points than killing anyone else. Shooting Assina* is essential.
*Anyone other than me.
I agree though, there is less of an emphasis on defibulatorinzap people when defending, comes in handy at key moments definitely, but should be used when the opportunity presents itself only when it will correlate to the enemy dying quicker.
I just "suicided" myself for n'th time trying to use the mortar - apparently if there is so much as a wisp of grass anywhere on my screen when I am trying to lock on to something then this is interpreted as me wanting to mortar the shit out of exactly where I am crouching.

Yes there's clearly no benefit for the defending team to have people back in action a few seconds after dying, right back on the front lines vs. respawning back at the base 10-15 seconds after death.
Attacking on Isla Innocentes. Both teams loaded with PA'ers.
Spawn, grab chopper, dump dudes on island. Awwwright. Die in chopper.
Spawn back at base. No chopper, get on jetski. Get shot off it by three dudes camping on an island. Ok.
Spawn back at base. Oh look, chopper is up, I'll just get in th- chopper disappears in hail of mortars.
Spawn, run over hill toward island. Die. Oh look, six guys camping the bottom of our hill. Fuck that shit.
Get in boat, get killed by Carl G as I enter it.
Getting angreh.
Get in fresh chopp-
GoombyG - Mortar - [PA]>Warcry<
Leave server.
Not cool at all, guys.
Sounds like whoever was on your team was doing a pretty bad job of playing offense.

Shitty bloody aiming system ><
I had a hilarious accident with this once on Nelson Bay. I thought i was mortaring far away but i was mortaring the hill i was on. Before the mortars hit two guys charged my hill and i backed away preparing to die horribly. Then right as they come over the hill my mortars started raining down killing them. Best mistake ever.

No, I am not really communist. Yes, it is weird that I use this name.
How do you get sniped when you're on a jetski anyways? Unless you were going in a straight line ooohhhh
I think some snipers were sitting on one of the small islands shooting anyone who got IN a jetski before they started moving. I've done something similar with helicopters.

Yes. Getting headshotted as you get in the 'chopper is most annoying.

If you play with packet loss as bad as mine, being sniped really isn't possible. Yes, everyone is teleporting around. But so are you. You just aim with more forgiving weapons, like rocket launchers or 40mm grenades.
Being in a teleporting tank is also pretty great, I'm sure I've caused much nerd rage in enemy engineers.

So your solution to being spawn camped is to have a shitty internet connection?

Errr, no. Not everyone relies on rubberbanding to win.
Heh, people who have bad connections do not have any advantage at all. They might rubberband on your screen, but they're still receiving the packet the server sends out to everyone much later than you.

What have we learned today? RPG-7's in to the front, or side, of a Humvee packed with people, are point pinatas.

Precisely. I see everyone running around as normal, but it's just plain unnatural to kill someone and they drop right away. It's what I've become accustomed to. That means that when I shoot you in the face with my shotgun, I wait a second for you to die. It also means if you kill me in that second between when I shot you and you die on my screen, my hit won't register and I hit the dirt. Hence why shotguns battles on the Dome are not a good idea for me.

Some of the Conquest maps are pretty unbalanced, I find, but maybe I was just on a really good team and we were playing a really bad one. The Russians have a clear advantage on Laguna Alta, for one - they can access all three bases in seconds, but the American spawn sucks. Also, it's super easy to trap the Americans at spawn in Arica Harbor.

Yeah guys don't push the attacking team back to their spawn :rotate:
This argument was cool in TF2 as well

Just because it's rush doesn't mean you can't spawn camp. Like I was saying yesterday, it's really easy to do it on Isla Innocentes. If you're camping just past the blacked out area and killing the attackers as they're coming into view, you're spawn camping. Likewise, if you're attacking and sitting up a building in the enemy base raining grenades on everyone, you're spawn camping. Rush is designed so that the objectives are placed between both spawns. Attacking them is not spawn camping, but sitting in the enemy base shooting dudes is.
desrever, you were kicked because you've demonstrated you are consistently awful to play with, from swapping teams to using the gustav at an disgusting level in a 5v5 match to dropping out of games you're about to lose.
I just want to apologize to my squad earlier today. I'm not the best of players to begin with, but playing while running a fever is not quite the best idea ever. :-/

Bonus points for killing a defender with their own UAV and then booby trapping it with C4 for when they come looking for vengeance.

they got crushed

I would call this good fun. I mean really, if you could pull that off you deserve the kills.
Which their spawn pretty much resides around the objectives.
Also shooting down choppers as they fly overhead.
I had like zero situational awareness...
It's ok!
