Alright, I got a problem regarding Veronica, or rather a bug.
Earlier I was doing some stuff in the casinos, thus being stripped of my weapons several times. Veronica of course was stripped of her weapon too..after I left The Strip, I noticed that she wasn't wearing her Power Fist anymore, and instead was using some kind of knife. The Power Fist is neither in her nor my inventory, and I can't unequip that knife she's using either. I tried buying another Power First, but she doesn't want to equip that one either.
    Help :(

Bumping this..come on guys, anyone can help me? :/

What system are you playing on?

    PC.

My only earlier save is 5 hours back, and I'm NOT gonna lose all that.

Hmm...well, I don't know but yeah...Veronica does have a habit of doing that.

One thing I will recommend is this.

-Switch Veronica to ranged so she'll equip the pistol.
-Take the knife out of her inventory
    -Switch back to Melee.

See if that helps. If not, I don't know what else you can do.

To start Arcade's quest you have to take him to:

    -Repconn Headquarters
-The Crashed Vertibird(where you get the unique Tesla Cannon from)
    -Silver Rush
-Also, bringing Ed-e will you will have him comment on it.

Yeah, I went from barely being able to fight one Deathclaw to taking out entire groups of them(as long as I get the drop on them).

The whole problem is that the knife ISN'T in her inventory. I can't unequip it, and as long as she's using it, it seems to override any other melee weapon.

It wastes 5 ammo per shot, but by golly, it rapes the fuck out of everything, and I love it dearly.

Headshots from hell to breakfast, and the goddamn kick flings the foe 20 meters backwards.

Is the knife she's carrying something you gave her to carry? Because your companions will equip any weapon you give them if it has better stats than the stock one they default to. Quick weapons, like knives and SMGs, can have really high DPS values because the rate of fire is so quick (they're great weapons against lightly-armoured enemies), so maybe the game's determined that the knife is better. If that's the case, the solution is simple: just take the knife back from her.

Somehow, I imagine you've already tried that, though. If it's anything more complicated than what I described, I can't really help you man, sorry. Good luck though.

[edit] Yeah, looks like you've already answered that question. Sorry man, don't know how to help you.

Yeah...doesn't sound like much you can do in that situation.

I think what has happened is that the knife has taken the place of her unique weapon and caused it to bug out.

Sorry I can't be of more assistance.

I always give my guys the best shit. We don't even talk about knives.

Arcade Gannon is sporting a motherfucking shishkebab and the ass raping unique plasma pistol.

    Everything dies pretty quickly.

Before him, I had Cass with a unique shotgun and a motherfucking thermal lance. She fucked anything that came close to her.

Before her I had Boone. He fucked everyone with his sniper rifle, and then when stuff got close to him, he took out the Final Fantasy 7 Cloud's Buster Sword, and mauled the shit out of it.

    Fun times.

(sorry about the profanity, I find it warranting for effect)

Just had some kind of bug happen to me for the first time last night. I guess I shall spoiler it for main quest:
Went to the rocket factory to take out some ghouls there, with Ed-E my floating, ghoul incineratin' pack mule in tow, after clearing the lower level out and getting lost as hell, I finally found where the Brotherhood was holed up and got their quest to clear out the nightkin in the basement. After doing so, I returned to the upper levels where the brotherhood was chilling out, and Ed-E goes BERSERK, attacking every ghoul, who I should note are still friendly to me, in sight, and continues to do so until he gets blow'd up.

The game autosaved when I entered the base and my last save is right before I spent two hours clearing the place out, so that's a wash. I should also note that I'm on a 360.
    Any ideas?

Also, out of curiosity because I can't find it in a guide anywhere, has this happened to anyone else?
A chick with purple hair comes running up out of nowhere on the road to Nipton exclaiming "DID YOU SEE THAT?! That guy tried to kill me!" or some crap...alternatively, a guy who runs up and is like "Did you see that?! She just went crazy!" and you have a dialogue with both and basically the guy had 7 star caps on him that she tried to take, and succeeds or fails based on which one comes running up to you. My speech wasn't high enough to get either to give me the star caps so I think I ended up killing them for them. Also you get a loss of karma for killing the guy (unless you provoke him into attacking first), but not the girl.
I can never find the body of the one who doesn't come running up to me, nor do I ever see the event in question.

I think they need to move the trigger back on the encounter because there's only been one time where the game even renders them before one or the other is dead.

Also? I don't see myself ever being able to do a Legion playthrough. They're just too over the top sinister. My evil playthroughs generally consist of "Fuck everyone else as long as I got mine" not "Ooga-booga I'm so eeeeevil!"

Radiation seems to be a bigger problem in general in this than FO3. The only time I remember ever even being slightly worried about radiation in FO3 was when I stupidly tried to enter that one vault the impossible way. I think I ended the game with well over 100 RadAways.

In FO:NV it seems like I'm always scrounging for radaway though for some reason :P

I play these games to liquify mutants with high-power energy weapons, not play Regressive Savage. Far as I'm concerned, tribals and their like best just keep their nose-boning and sun-worshipping and technology-fearing to themselves, 'cause they're barely two steps from being sub-human and slaughter-worthy as it is.

If you stop and think for a minute almost all the radiation is understandable
Some spots are maybe where the deactivated warheads impacted. They didnt detonate but their radioactive payload was probably spread over a small area.

Then there was things like attack on Searchlight that you find out about if you examine the area

One of the vaults i think had a radiation leak in its reactor.

So Theres plenty of reasonable reasons for radiation to be where it is.

Speaking of Camp Searchlight, fuck the small fetch quest in that area. I am missing just one dog tag and I can't find it anywhere. I spent my entire supply of Rad-Away searching for it. If you head there, talk to the patrol before running in and slaughtering everything in sight.

Radiation seems to be a bigger problem in general in this than FO3.

Yeah, and it's kinda funny because the area of the country in NV wasn't supposed to have been bombed as heavily. Because, you know, barren, desolate desert.

I wasn't trying to say it's unreasonable, I just think it's ironic that radiation is a more serious menace in the desert that supposedly was barely worth nuking than it was in the capital city that supposedly got the living hell nuked out of it. I don't see it as an implausibility, just another example of how almost everything in NV is done just a little bit better than in FO3.
