However... see, normally my internet is rock fucking solid. I haven't had an outage in over a year.

I get two games done and then, BAM. No internet. At all. For a while, now.

Oh. My. GOD the M14 is AMAZING!

Warlord that bitch with a suppressor and Red Dot, and it's a silent 2-3 shot deliverer of DEATH. Combine with Ninja for ultimate silent delivery and man, its so hot even hip-fired.

When you positively, absolutely must ensure the target dies in no more than 3 bullets, accept no substitute.

Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.

Fuck C4 in this. First you have to switch to it, which is slow, then you have to throw it, which is slow, then you have to detonate it, which is not only slow, but unresponsive.

RB to throw, Double X to detonate with no animation.

C4 in MW2 was just right.

I'm really digging Blops so far. Shooting somebody's RC car is very satisfying. I like that all the game modes have their own set of challenges.

I tried gun game once and was doing really well until I got to the sniper and then I just fell apart.

    Wait wait wait.

Weren't Activision really adamant last time that people were "stuck in the past" and whiny for wanting dedicated servers, and the ability to kick players? And everyone was backing them up on this saying how P2P was the future on PC? That players shouldn't have access to the dev console? That mod tools were evil?

And now they're all included included?

What the heck happened? Some fat nerd break into the office and blackmail them until it happened? I'm sure that would've made the news.

    single player=complete

im tired so im not gonna go into spoilers and whatnot, but overall, the story was pretty great. actual combat and "badass moments" were pretty average. im sure there will be plenty to talk about the next few days as everyone finishes the single player.

I thought the story was really well done and very coherent. It was compelling and reminded me of a good James bond type plot. I am not sure if I'm just being more forgiving because MW2 had such an incredibly horrible plot though.

Edit: Also I need to make a correction. Only the first of the zombie maps is available off the bat. You need to beat the game to unlock the second and then do the special thing to unlock the third.

    Eh, works for me.

If there's the possibility of setting the FoV at something slightly greater than "blinkered horse", even just for the singleplayer, I'm more interested.

It varies from game to game, but grief, the narrow FoV in MW made my eyes water when I tried it.

PC Questions. I know dedicated servers are back... but is there still also matchmaking? Sure it wasn't to fun when the host had a bad connection but it sure did make it easy to play with friends.

Yes, there is both a server list and the option of letting the game pick a server for you.
Note: I didn't actually test how well it works, but some sort of option is there

You guys wanna hear something hilarious? As some of you already know I have a 150km commute to work. I forwent the midnight launch so I wouldn't fall asleep at the wheel and die a terrible death.

Except I got to work here only to find out the power is out and my team is gone, and because of my carpool I can't simply leave, so now I have to sit here doing nothing in the pitch of black for 8 hours until I can make my 1.5 hour journey back home to Blops. FML.

Finished the single player. Not sure if the words to describe it would be fruit loopy or turbo nutty. Either way, Treyarch were left with the unenviable task of outdoing the over the top berserk insanity of the Modern Warfare 2 storyline and I'd say they did an admirable job. It really exudes the feeling that they had a lot of freedom to make the game they wanted to make.

That said it also felt kind of disjointed and with bizarre abrupt tonal shifts. But that's a kind of batshit insanity I found kind of charming.
