I just watched the Your Highness trailer again and I liked it more than the first time I saw it (I was half asleep then) but still don't think it looks that good
the most unrealistic thing about it is Zooey Deschanel being interesting enough to fight for
I like how its kinda a reversal from 2008 where DC had the serious trailer (Dark Knight) and Marvel had the more "Being a super hero is awesome" one (Iron Man).
Also the sound effects are hilariously awful for the fighting in the beginning.
I never realized that punching/kicking people makes a squelching crunch noise.
Isn't Thor really strong? I guess he's liquefying their insides.
I'm assuming that part is before he gets his hammer back, and thus when he doesn't have his power back yet.

Hal actually seems to have a personality in the GL trailer, which goes completely against the comics
Reynolds always seems the same regardless of what role he is playing (imo). But since he's been in a couple comic movies already, is somewhat popular and attractive casting no doubt thought he was perfect.
Christian Bale would make a better Hal as shown in Equilibrium. :rotate:

is he a flyboy? is he serious? what does he do outside of being a green lantern? what constructs does he make? Stewart makes detailed stuff as an architect (he was never a marine, I hate Geoff Johns), Rayner makes silly stuff as he's a cartoonist, etc.

Hal is kind of boring. He's not deep enough that they could slap him into a film as is and not have people go "he's boring." If a lot of people think that chances are it's true. Ryan Reynolds playing him differently is a good thing, especially as the man is a good enough actor for me to really want him to put some depth into the role.
