The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford was as bad as it's name was long.

    this movie was surprisingly funny

for what looked, from the commercials, to be a dark and thoughtful western

    pretty refreshing

I hated Black Swan. It had so many things I love, Aronofsky, ballet, psychological breakdowns, yet I HATED it. Perhaps I expected too much.

Honestly the movie itself wasn't bad, but because of the stupid, stupid title, there was no tension or conflict or anything. You walk in to the theater and you say "I'll take one for The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford" and then you go sit down and watch the assassination of Jesse James by the coward, Robert Ford. There's never any doubt or questioning what is going to happen in the end, so the whole thing just feels way too drawn out and boring. What should have been the most dramatic scene in the movie just leaves you with a feeling of "yup...that's the title..."

This was a great movie. I especially enjoyed the courtroom scene.

Prosecuting lawyer: "And did you find the fruit jar with $120 in it?"
    Defending layer: "Objection! Leading."
    Judge: "Sustained."
Prosecuting lawyer: "And what did you find?"
Rooster: "A fruit jar with $120 in it."

I would totally watch Law & Order: Goldrush
