Just yesterday, the tyrannical and despotic robot-man known only to us as "jacobkosh" declared a temporary shutdown of the [chat] thread, presumably for his own nefarious ends.

This thread is about those precious minutes we sacrificed in order to keep our glorious institution.

    I know it is common usage around here so I hardly blame Eddy for having picked it up, but the term for the chat thread is really "chat thread" or "the D&D chat thread" or something similar, not [chat]. The brackets are just to make it stand out on the front page.

    this mainly comes into play when corresponding with non-D&D mods, who are, I assure you, very much not interested in hearing about "[chat]"

    just, you know, file this information away somewhere for future reference.
