The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
Just yesterday, the tyrannical and despotic robot-man known only to us as "jacobkosh" declared a temporary shutdown of the [chat] thread, presumably for his own nefarious ends.
This thread is about those precious minutes we sacrificed in order to keep our glorious institution.

I can't believe how many otherwise intelligent and respectable people I know who consume Emergen-C and Airborne as if there were an iota of evidence to suggest that it actually does anything.
Have you tried the fan-made System Shock Portable? It runs on Windows XP.
That's the one I'm using. It's still weird playing a first person game without WASD.
Lots of exploring needed in this game.
I don't know why but I really like the game's intro. It might be because it reminds me of all the big promises from the gaming industry in 1995. FMVs! Voice acting! CD-quality music!
... I want to buy a 3DO now. How did that glorious system ever fail?

Don't get me wrong; I love Red Bull. It is one of my vices. But I can't imagine enjoying drinking 20 oz of the stuff, much less shotgunning it. And that's to say nothing of the sucralose version

I heard it had something to do with 420chan and SomethingAwful.
It takes a long time for his tubes to reach these tubes because he's over there protecting your G.D. freedom, mister

Important grammatical note:
I know it is common usage around here so I hardly blame Eddy for having picked it up, but the term for the chat thread is really "chat thread" or "the D&D chat thread" or something similar, not [chat]. The brackets are just to make it stand out on the front page.
this mainly comes into play when corresponding with non-D&D mods, who are, I assure you, very much not interested in hearing about "[chat]"
just, you know, file this information away somewhere for future reference.

I've been called out by posters for not using the brackets before.

Weeaboo came from pbf
moot from 4chan made a word filter that changed every mention of the word "otaku" on the site to "weeaboo"
That's how it started
If I remember correctly some forum got sick of the term "wapanese" and set their auto filter to replace it with weeaboo, as inspired by that strip.
