will be helpful for figuring out all this stuff with different Pokemon when they update for gen 5
the nature you want depends on what you want to do with the pokemon. you usually want one that buffs a Pokemon's main stat and decreases a stat it doesn't really use.
hydreigon is mainly a special attacker, so you'll probably want Modest (+Sp. Attack, -Attack) or Timid (+Speed, -Attack)
zoruark is more variable, so you will want different natures depending on whether you are using it as a physical attacker (adamant or jolly), special attacker (modest or timid), or mixed guy (probably a neutral nature like Docile that doesn't boost or decrease any stats)
Random battle ends one of two ways.
Either you get buttowned by some foreign guy and his stock of ubers,
or your opponent disconnects as you are winning

Just had this happen twice. Stupid thing is, both times they really could have pulled out a win, it was pretty close.
I only tried one random wi-fi fight. It wasn't against a team of ubers, and I forget exactly what the team was, but all I remember was the guy's Heracross.
Who used Close Combat.
3 times.
Before anybody could move.
I just kind of slinked back and never tried it since.

Scarfcross is pretty common.
You didn't have one single focus-sash user? Or a choice-scarfer yourself?
Honestly, it was a half-assed fight on my end. Bred and EV trained guys on my end, but they were fresh from being brought over from SS and not a one was holding an item. I just jumped on to see what was up, and got my ass rightfully beat like a red headed step child. I just haven't been brave enough to go back for real yet.

All with Leech Seed/Spikes and female for some reason.
I also have Impish Prankster Cottonees with Encore/Worry Seed/Memento if you'd like, male and female. IVs aren't spectacular (most have perfect HP and Defense), but they don't have to be since it isn't an attacker. Great for Wifi battles and Battle Subway alike.
Speaking of wifi and the battle subway, I tried the wifi train for the first time and it doesn't seem to actually pit you against real people. Instead Nintendo seems to save the data and your record/rank, then use it with the in-game AI based on your rank. I've seen some scary stuff like Focush Sash Gengar with Destiny Bond, but I've also seen Emboars with Tackle which is a little embarrassing.
Anyway, you score 10 BP on wifi trains after just 7 battles, so maybe that's the go-to place for BP farming.

Lead with an intimidate scarf-using Staraptor!
Brave Bird will put a dent in pretty much anything, and super-speed U-Turn has to be seen to understand how annoying it is.
Ursaring only has Guts in Emerald, so if I tried to breed one, it'd be trial and error figuring out if its ability changes to Quick Feet. Also, specify egg moves and stuff.
So uh...where do I level my team after the Elite 4? They're on "rematch mode" and thus too high to beat, and trainers in the unlocked routes are a good 10-15 over me.

What madness is this?
start from the east gate of opelucid and progress from there, the trainers mostly use unevolved pokemon that are easily beaten even at high levels
So, is the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection not working for anybody else? Maybe I cant use my phone as a mobile hotspot and connect to Nintendo's servers? My DS is connecting to my phone, but I cant connect to the Nintendo Wi-Fi connect thing (Ive tried in both Pokemon White and Mario Kart DS).
EDIT: Just used my home network and it worked. Shitty, as I really dont want my network to be set to WEP...

Man, I haven't played Pokemon in so long I don't even know what that stuff is. I just wanted a bear. Bears are a good addition to anything and everything.

Apparently I suck at this game campared to everyone else on the internet...
I'm a basic player, trying to breed for certain natures and things like that is pretty new to me.
Godspeed, Ironsides.

Check this out too, it's another important aspect of making "competitive" pokemon

Got any foreign language pokemon?
EDIT: EV trained my shiny Axew today. Not sure if I want to level it right away or wait till I get Black and use it as part of its in-game team.
I have a female Adamant Absol, a shiny Adamant Shellder, Quiet and Adamant Fake Out, Nasty Plot and Recover Kecleons. All from SoulSilver.

Torchic.
Once you get past the unevolved stuff it's quite a good challenge, I enjoyed it.
After fighting that Hydreigon everything seems easy.
I'm fairly sure I just had my Krookadile Crunch it to death (or I was cheap with Resharim, either way I don't remember it).

Hit me up! (Might add a link in my profile and just edit that first post o' mine).

I had no trouble with 'that Hydreigon'. Honestly. I just pointed Mienshao at it and selected Hi Jump Kick and it diiiiied.

I have a box full of Snivys and Oshawotts ready to go. Interested in any previous gen Pokemon that aren't available in game.
Friend code should be in my signature, if I didn't stuff that up completely.
