Kid Stabs Older Bullies Who Were Punching Him, Charged With A Felony
Some parts of this article really disturbed me.
They were standing nearby, and managed to break it up. In the time it took for the kids to corner him, and start beating him, then for the kid to get the knife OUT of his bag, THEN to slice the kid three times, THEN they broke it up?
So... they work 60 days a year? Well, as long as people aren't suffering during the other 305, I guess it's ok.
Now, I'm not condoning bringing a knife to school to deal with bullies... clearly, you have to use it when you're off of school grounds, or stuff like this is bound to happen.
Is the bullying problem like this everywhere?

Teachers turn a blind eye to it because more often then not the kids who bully have asshole parents who won't listen about the issue or take steps to correct it. It's the easy road.

I don't know. 2 8th graders on one 6th grader and they had done it before. It's a little excessive but the kid was scared and trying to protect himself.

Pretty sure they work the rest of the year accruing info and stuff about it, reviewing last years policy and evaluating current circumstances in preparation for creating/ammending the actual legislation during those 60 days.

It will get blamed on Bully eventually. Those kids honed their bullying skills by playing the game.
My theory is if you don't want to be stabbed by a scared 6th grader don't start punching one. The kid did what he needed to do to stop from being targeted, and nobody can really blame him for that. Turning a blind eye to bullying in 6th grade leads to HS kids who take a shotgun to school after years of putting up with some asshole who peaks at 16 and is the king shit of 12th grade.
