Too bad it stopped updating shortly after it moved to its current design a few years back.
Used to keep up with that and agonybooth.com on a regular basis. But now the latter is mixing in video reviews along with text ones for some reason. And reminding me that Big McLargeHuge played Captain America on TV once.
Is he trying to posit that silver age comics weren't hilarious the time they were made? Like, that they weren't originally intended to be comedic? I mean, I laugh at cheesy special effects and dated story ideas in old movies all the time. They weren't nearly as funny when they were first released, I imagine, but that don't stop me.

Yes, it does have Amazing Fantasy #15. The Amazon description actually says which issues it has.
Basically Bale is of the opinion that you should buy the cheaper Essential volumes, which are black and white, as opposed to the more expensive full color Masterworks volumes. I respectfully disagree.
The Reed page is from Mark Waid's Fantastic Four run, and can be found in this collection.
don't spend the cash on those Marvel Masterworks books
just get the Essential collections way way cheaper
Um. It may be too late?
Did I just buy an inferior set of books? They didn't seem too expensive. What's like, a side-by-side comparison?
Also: I assume the answer is "Yes," but does the Spidey collection I just bought have Amazing Fantasy #15?
If you look at the product description it tells you what issues are included
but the essentials are cheaper than the masterworks books (althought I didnt realize the masterworks books were that cheap now, they used to be way more expensive) and have about 2x as many issues per volume.
They are in black and white though is the tradeoff.
I mean those masterworks books are fine, they arent as overpriced as I remembered them but I mean Lee/Kirby were on FF for a looooong time, if you are planning to read all that shit in masterworks form it's gonna be pricey.
I am pretty sure most if not all of that stuff is available online, Marvel has thing subscription thing that gives you access to a bunch of stuff digitally. That would probably be the cheapest way to read them if you are serious about getting through the entirety of the Lee/Kirby/Ditko eras.
Again the trade off there would be having to read them at the computer, so ymmv

Okay, here is a question:
Were these comics black and white when they were initially published, or were they more recently colored?
Based on my hand-me-down Superman comics, I'm gonna guess they were colored in the first place?

Silver Age comics are fucking hilarious. One panel, two panels, all panels, it doesn't fucking matter.
Reading through the Martian Manhunter Showcases is like a journey through a fucking wonderland of hilarity.
Two issues IN A ROW he is confronted with a cake covered in flaming candles. FUCK THAT IS FUNNY.
You don't get that kind of hilarity from out of context panels.
