Well I think a rock and a dog are very different. A tame fox seems very similar to a dog. The only difference is a fox costs thousands of dollars and you can brag about to your friends and on the internet whereas nobody cares if you own a dog.

well, I guess, but I mean even "a Dog" is pretty vague. Like, if you think a Malamute and a Chihuahua are exactly the same then I don't even know.

Why get a dog when you could get a cat

    cause they're different.

Did you not see the video of the fox hopping? That's the point! (Edit: I didn't mean that as confrontational as it came out. I am just excited because FOXES!)

Also, they're not just funny-looking dogs. It's kind of like comparing...I dunno, a hamster and a pet rat. They're both rodents, but it's a different pet experience with each one. (Probably. I've never had either.)

But mostly because they are so goddamn cute.

A fox is a fox, a dog is a dog, a cat is a cat. Foxes are not dogs. Even domesticated, they are still foxes. They still behave like foxes. Just. Domesticated foxes.

Don't know if this will work.

But had to get all three boy's in the same picture before I threw them in their carrying cases to go to the dreaded vet for their yearly checkup.

    2012-4-30-01.jpg

She's pretty timid right now. Did some exploring, but mostly hiding. Wasn't interested in food yet. She'll probably be pretty hungry tomorrow. Man, did she complain about having to be in the cat carrier on the way home. Poor little kitty.

Thanks guys... I was really looking forward to spending at least ten more years with him (they are pretty long lived for such a small critter)... I guess I'll just have the memories to cherish.
All his medals have been passed over to his two faithful wives.

    Whoa..what?

Look, you can't just drop a picture of an awesome critter, let us know he passed and then hit us with the fact that he's a polygamist war hero and then walk out.

    Stories, man!

    Where is her collar?

I haven't gotten her one. She's an indoor cat and I'm on the third floor of an apartment building and she's microchipped. Is it that big of a deal?

    Kitties don't need collars

Although I did put a purple bell collar on Sr Gordo and it was the most hilarious thing until my mom took it off and hid it

A collar lets people know it's somebody's cat so it can't double team families

Also if you put a phone number on there and somebody finds it, they just call them number. To get its chip checked they have to take it to a vet or a pound, and people are lazy.

    Note:
My kitties live with my parents out in the middle of nowhere and their nearest neighbors are about 1/2 a mile away

So my collar ideas might not be optimal for most people!
