Admittedly I wasn't rolling on the floor laughing the second time I saw it, but that's because, well, I had just seen it the day before and all the jokes were still fresh in my mind, and thus I was looking at the background/little touches.
I haven't laughed at a movie this hard since Dodgeball.
I'm watching my clone high dvds and I just want to report that "I've watched the first two thirds of the MC Hammer Behind the Music, and if there's one thing I've learned, it's that money never runs out" is still basically a perfect joke
Then at the end when my girlfriend and I did our little "collect our thoughts and talk about the movie" I just sort of repeated BATMAN STOLE THE MILLENNIUM FALCON'S HYPERDRIVE over and over
Everytime I try to reason out why this movie should be good, I fail miserably. When you lay out the bullet points, I feel like it should land somewhere between forgettable and obnoxious. And yet, here we are

It's one of those movies which just sounds like a bad or pandering idea, but then succeeds in spite of it.
For an example of what I'm talking about, "We need a teen Batman!" managed to become:
Disney had been on an upswing already though, Bolt was pretty good and Tangled was great, and Pixar had been on a descent between Cars 2 and Brave, so it seemed kinda clear that there'd been some sort of switch after the Disney buyout of Pixar

This was one of the most consistently funny movies I have ever seen
Usually feel like I can at least respect your Vow opinions, often I even agree with them!
But I'm afraid you stand on this hill alone

...how?
Yeah that post blew my mind
I don't know how to explain that I didn't find something funny! Other than "it didn't make me laugh"

Also, I find it interesting that the Green Lantern, the one superhero whose whole power is basically building things, never actually does anything.
Also appreciate that they used the Green Lantern instead of going for the obvious Aquaman jokes.
yes this will do nicely
Though I'd assume it's just fine in 2D too.
It's not like it's in danger of leaving
It just came out and did exceptionally well
yes this is better
I was just thinking "Oh man whoever gets Good/Bad Cop is going to be set"
I dig mine but I wish I could find better pictures of the spaceship for the sig
not trying to meta mod
anyone know how to optimize gifs?
My mouth was hanging open in that entire scene
14 over but whatever, if that is enough to infract me then so be it
So, yeah, this was fantastic.

I think I'm still gonna check out The Lego Movie Videogame
They actually got the voice cast to do the game too, which is pretty cool
Oh, they did? Awesome! I was wondering about that.
If it just plays like the other LEGO games I would definitely give it a go in that case
There's a rhythm game segment set to "Everything is Awesome"

Wait what
Wreck-It Ralph sounded awesome from the word go
The LEGO Movie shouldn't have been this good
Talking Heads in the first trailer aside, that movie had every chance of being awful, before it turned out to be great.
