Anyway, Inqi, my point was less about you disliking a ton of stuff, and more that it may seem like there's a bunch of stuff you don't like, but you come by it honestly, it's not a condescending "I enjoy the truly good things in life" attitude.

inq for my part it just seems like the casually dismissive way you dislik stuff comes across poorly online
like in person it might just be 'eeeeeh not really my thing'
but 'eh it just doesn't work for me *shrug*' can come off weird
Yeah. I think the tone thing really doesn't transfer as well as I'd like it to online. Like, when I used *shrug* I thought it was kind of clear that I was kind of using it to mean "I'm being kind of indifferent and noncomittal about the statement I just made." like I short hand for "I dunno!" But I remember you made a post that said the *shrug* seemed really like, smug and dismissive.
Like, when I casually dismiss something my goal was to convey the tone of, "It's not really my thing but, it's cool that you are into it and enjoying it. I am happy that you are made happy by this thing, even if it does not also make me happy" but apparently was not coming across that way at all.
In conclusion, fuck forums :P

My friends seem to be getting into Soul Calibur these days. I guess they are really excited for SC5.
For my part I've just kind of accepted that I will move between fighting games like a leaf on the wind, being competent at many but truly competitive at none.

Oh thanks, person who's gone on maternity leave for 6 months, thanks for setting your "out of office" email to automatically reply to everything, that won't be annoying seeing as we average 10 emails a day to you. Idiot.

And Carrot, I don't even have anything planed per my game yet. Like Golden/Silver/Bronze/Pouches/Neo-Silver or something else. Let alone the hook.

"I just noticed that the 'silverware' isn't actually silver. And that's cool, I mean, I'm glad you guys are having fun with that. I'm just trying to say that it's not for me."
So, apparently you can have sex with animals in the military, now.
And suddenly there was a rush of recruiting from Washington State.

I don't understand how people can start a sentence with "Look, there's no question that Aaron Rodgers should be the MVP this year," and then end it with "but I think [player] should at least be in the conversation."
What conversation? Aaron Rodgers is the consensus MVP choice this year and you are an idiot if you think anybody except Aaron Rodgers should get it. It is as close to an objective statement as you can get with a subjective award. The conversation is "Okay, so Aaron Rodgers is awesome, but what about Tim Tebow for MVP?" "No, that's stupid." "Hmm, yeah, okay." That's it, that's the whole conversation.
thom your superhero game should be about this teenager and he's reading his comic book and he's like WOW I wish I could be Batman!! and then the comic book sucks him in and he's falling down against a background of swirling with clocks in the background and then it turns out HE IS THE SUPERHERO
