Bridesmaids had a few chuckles but I wouldn't call it the female equivalent of The Hangover (like a ton of people did).
It probably didn't help that my sister made us watch it, especially since:
A) our parents are in the room and they don't like movies with any sex, violence, nudity, or really bad language
and , leading up to my sister's wedding (the one who picked the movie), basically all the same shit went down between Kristin Wig (my oldest sister - maid of honor), Maya Rudolph (sister who picked the movie), and Rose Byrne (ex-bff of oldest sister and now current bff of newest sister since the wedding).
That fight went on for months and still isn't resolved, which is pretty bad since the fighting started in May and the wedding was 4 months ago.
soooooo fuck Bridesmaids for reminding me of that

Bridesmaids hit really close to home for me since so many friends have been getting married and sometimes i get angry at how life feels like its passing me by and theyre moving on and leaving me behind and where oh where is my hot cop with an Australian accent?!?
And it truly is hilarious!
He's Irish, lostwords
doesn't sound Australian at all
Sorry, all foreign accents blend together in my head into a sexy, exotic mess
Also I was gonna go to a Mumford and sons concert earlier this year but it was a week after paxeast and on a weekday and I came back to a butt-ton of work and had to sell my tickets and that was my disappointment of the year
On the bright side, I did manage to go to a bunch of concerts and festivals this year an managed to see girl talk, the black keys, tegan and Sara, paramore, stars, lupe fiasco, the national, and a bunch of others, so it was a cool year for music
Movie of the year for me is undoubtedly The Tree of Life. I have a few left I'm planning to see, but at best they might fill out the rest of the podium. The Tree of Life was the best new movie going experience I've had since 2007. It won't be topped this year.
I mean, fucking look at this trailer. Just gets me so pumped up.
but the Tree of Life trailer I thought was the worst goddamn thing I saw in theatres this year
Yeah, it ain't for everybody. If you didn't like the trailer, I suspect you wouldn't like the film. It's a pretty good representation of what it's all about.
Best trailer this year was the first girl with the dragon tattoo trailer. I mean goddamn. Second best was the muppets parody of that trailer
Wait until you see the Prometheus trailer.
Because, seriously. Damn.

I am super excited to see it! Also I went to a mission impossible IMAX screening, and if you can consider an 8 minute excerpt a trailer, then dark knight rises wins. Because goddamn does it look shiny and amazing on imax

Prometheus went from 'ok, benefit of the doubt. not too keen on a prequel but I'll roll with it'
to
'holy fuck, this is perfect. this movie will single-handedly repair two decades of damage to the alien mythos i must see it immediately'.
also, idris elba and michael fassbender in the same movie. im a straight man but oh lordy.
So those are my most played artists of this year... Bon Iver, Girl Talk, Drake were probably my top 3 albums... I dunno maybe I missing some really good stuff.
Best experience: Quakecon 2011, took 5th in the open duel ($50 and a heatsink) and 1st in the BYOC FFA tourney, won a bitchin PC, on which i play bf3 on ultra settings

Low point in 2011: Pretty much the rest of it.
Hoping for a big turnaround before the end of the year and a great 2012.

There are not enough disbelieving headshakes in the world
Best video game has to be Dark Souls.
I don't really absorb other forms of media.
I'm having trouble deciding what the best Blut Aus Nord album of the year was.

Good job getting her hooked on a mediocre tv show based on an absolutely abysmal comic
Kirkman can suck a big dick
Best album was the new Bomb the Music Industry whihc all y'all should listen to because it's free

Best video game is probably Dark Souls. Skyward Sword ain't too far behind.
Best TV show would be Game of Thrones. That was a god damn event.
I think it'll be a long time before I could really narrow down best album or track of the year. Too much to go through.
although it's just an EP
admittedly I've not seen the film
but the Tree of Life trailer I thought was the worst goddamn thing I saw in theatres this year

Oh man, this is one I never got around to. Might just be my next DS purchase. Thanks for the reminder!
But then the film's actually a lot better than the trailer makes out, so it was win-win!
Wait until you see the Prometheus trailer.
Because, seriously. Damn.
Dudes need to stop acting like Mumford is anything outside of the same recycled garbage.
