A son is typically at least 2 inches taller than his mother, but there's no such rule for daughters, and the father's height doesn't tend to correlate to the kids' heights, either

A lot of men love tall women! But not as many women love tall men
I have a friend who is constantly upset she has no boyfriend. She often also says things like "I need a man exactly like him but taller". Go out with him, after 1 date you won't care he is shorter than you. This would be frustrating if I were a more considerate friend.
