    Awww, that's super-cute!

    Did you know that the North Korean surname Ree/Ri and the South Korean surname Lee/Li are the same surname? Which makes sense given that in the initial consonant position r/l is the same in Korean. Except! That when you're speaking Korean in the South what we anglicize as "Lee" is both spelled and pronounced "Ee" without an r/l at all; only in North Korea did they maintain an initial r/l letter and pronunciation.

    For instance, the President, Lee Myeong-bak, is actually Ee Myeong-bak in Korean here, but in the North they would say it like Westerners do.
