I don't really know how to feel about receiving a thing for valentine's day after repeatedly and expressly saying I didn't want anything and now I feel like a bad girlfriend sigh
My sister and her husband decided on no gifts but he ended up buying her flowers and a $500 giftcard to Coach or Burberry or one of those stores.
She didn't get him anything and when she told him that he didn't have to buy her anything, this was his response:
"I know I didn't have to, I wanted to. And I didn't want you to spend time thinking about getting me something if you didn't know what to get me"
It was nice, especially since I taught him the "have/want" thing in regard to presents.
Eh, like, my ex that is still in love with me would be up for something, my best friend's girlfriend lives in another state so him after he gets out of work
A few other friends are probably free, I dunno what my theatre peoples' rehearsal schedules are right now
I like Sam well enough, but Dean is the most adorable wiseass. Castiel is also super presh....

Don't get me wrong, it is possible to find some very good chocolate here.
But it's just not available in nearly the same quantity, or at nearly such a wide variety of shops.
And certainly you have to really dig deep (i.e. go to a big city, San Francisco) to find decent chocolatiers (and at those chocolatiers, again, the selections are not so great!).
And sometimes you want the junky Cadbury's stuff, but the junky US equivalent is too garbage to contemplate.
I just get his feeling that the bestest and most special things here, by comparison to the US, are for some reason bras, the NHS, chocolate, chips and Kendal Mint Cake
And cheap shoes, too!
