Anyone else remember when making these big elaborate domino setups was a thing? Around 95 or so, I think? All these plastic, multicolored, glow in the dark ones with little arches and staircases and shit like that?

I had one of those sets once. It sucked. The pieces were super light and fell over easily.

    Such as

Pretty much every toy in the late 80's/early 90's was made of, or filled with slime if I remember correctly.

The first time I saw that movie I was working as a clerk at a public ice rink so needless to say it struck a chord

Shit, you guys remember those magic trick toys? Like it was a single magic trick in a box. I had one with a disappearing coin and a mirror. Let's ask Google.

Fuck, all the words I could possibly use to describe it are way too vague.

Also West Wing started in the 90's (late)
and this is one of my goddamn favorite bits (although there are SO MANY).

Definitely one of the best shows ever.

I'm probably the only person who remembers this show. It was about a space Captain Nemo flying a space Neotilus and fighting a doctor doom look a like. There are no videos of the show itself that I can find, only the title music.

Oh hey, I remember this. It came on just before Teknoman, I believe.

I was it would depress me when I watched it, since it was during Dubya's reign. And it did a bit... seeing such a brilliant, charismatic president.
Then finishing watching for the night and going "Oh. We have a guy WORSE than Governor Ritchie who is our ACTUAL President. What the fuck."

Fortunately now I can watch it and finish an episode and still be happy.

    Also, @Usagi is best. <3

I'm reasonably certain that Claire Danes in My So Called Life is responsible for my fondness for redheads.

Probably also my hatred of Jared Leto.

On the same topic, when watching 24 season 1, my girlfriend went "wait, is that supposed to be Obama?"

and I was all like "heh, nope, this was in 2001 when such a thing was crazy fiction."

I guess what I remember about the nineties was more about music. Like Dismembered's Massive Killing Capacity and Metallica disgracing themselves.

    Fuck off and die.

All this talk of Nick shows, and you all leave out two of the original Snick shows.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTxqN-a0ges

I talked Amazon into giving me a free year of Prime and discovered that they are streaming Daria for free. Why doesn't MTV make stuff like this anymore?

    yaaaayyy Roundhouse!

I was never allowed to watch it though.

Mainly because at that point in time my little brother was the one who was in his 'kid' years and therefore for whatever reason had precedence over me in the TV choices.

And he didn't like Roundhouse, so I got overruled.

Oh, Monday Night Raw and Monday Nitro wars.

    Also West Wing.
