Man, Wonder Woman gets marginalized enough; do they really need to take her out of the trinity too?

Well, they certainly seem to be pushing for it.

Before this thread closes I just want to say I'm not reading a single comic until they bring back Bat-Hombre

You have a better chance of seeing a full issue of TLB's Chupacabra Detective thingee.

it's not my fault @munch is the slowest

I've got four pages left to draw, dick.

Also, how's that Toad story coming, dick?

ask me again in 18 more months

which is how long you've been drawing this comic

Dammit, TLB! You can't rush genius!

No, wait. This is the other thing, right?

Dammit, TLB! You can't rush mediocrity!

I didn't actually start drawing it until the end of April/beginning of June.

Sorry that replacing all the siding on my house, and dealing with a crippling break-up, delayed José Sasquatch, or whatever it is we're doing.

I think TLB wanted someone to do a graphic novel adaptation of Juno.

    Not sure.

hey are we pimping favorite runs of characters now

because let me tell you abou-BANG

On your recommendation, I've really been enjoying the Cybertron-based Transformer comic. I'm not enjoying the space-based Transformer comic as much, but mainly because I'm having a really difficult time distinguishing who is who.

    awww

    MTMTE is better than RID

    well

MTMTE relies less on shock deaths and has snappier dialogue so rather I should I say I enjoy it more.

Kinda hoping the Dinobots aren't dead, that'd be a chump way to go out

spoilers for transformers robots in disguise 8
we still gotta see what happens next month, but, Barber's the guy who killed off five constructicons and an insecticon in the same issue, along with a seeker. he'd totally kill dinobots.

Yeah there's still megathreads. Don't know if this one qualifies or not, but I haven't seen anything saying we can't any of them any more.

Well, this thread was originally for TDKR. Then Wonder Woman's origins, Spider-man's marriage, Cassandra Cain being awesome, DC sucking, etc.

Speaking of TDKR, how did it end up fairing against Avengers? I know it didn't pass it, but no idea how close it got.

  • Options
    KingofMadCowsKingofMadCows Registered User regular
It's not even close. TDKR has $750 million word wide so far while Avengers made $1.46 billion world wide.

It's had a couple of disadvantages: the Olympics, coming later in the Summer

Also being associated with the worst mass shooting in American history

    Stuff like that

    Also not being in 3-D

I feel like we need a comics thread here in SE++

I get that there's a whole forum for it but 1) no-one posts in it and 2) it's an on-topic forum

we could pretend it was generally a Marvel movies thread. what's the next one of those to be coming out?

I don't agree. The first of a new series of X-men had to establish how bad things were getting.

Generally, @Quoth, I would agree, but
killing Jean Grey should never qualify as "shock" any more.

but I haven't read it, so I'm hardly qualified to comment

They don't really do any constant shock value and a lot of the series is really light and fluffy.

But central to the story is Kitty Pryde, first closing herself up and taking care of the small group she has and then the choice to travel into Nimrod space and fight for a future.
