@GoodKingJayIII provided the following way to skip much of the introduction for the PC version of ME2:

A lot of people don't like the opening 10 minute intro movie, but there is a way to get rid of it. Go to:

C:....mass effect 2\BioGameMovies

Change the extension of the following files to .bak:

Opening_End_Seq.bik

Opening_End_SeqFM.bik

Opening_Seq_INT.bik

ProCer_300_FirstFlight.bik

ME2_Opening_SunMid_INT.bak

ProNor_Pod2.bik

ProNorEscape.bik

ProNorEscapeAsh.bik

ProNorEscapeKaid.bik

ME2_Opening_SunMid_ESN.bik

ME_EAsig_720p_v2_raw.bak

BWLogo.bak

ProNor_Shepard_Rebuilt.bik

This will not get rid of everything, you still have to watch the non-CGI cutscenes and Save Joker. But it does cut down quite a bit. If you want those movies back just rename them to .bik again. If you're worried your renaming the wrong thing, you can download a BIK palyer and confirm the files.

3. For those who hate planet scanning and hacking, there is an easy ini file edit floating around. This is just a colaseced editor that you guys have already been playing with but this one seemed pretty idiot proof to me. This again needs an external program but is non-excutable.

This has all kinds of stuff like god mode, extra weapons, infinite ammo etc., but if you just want the money, just use it to get your resources, save, then exit the game and revert to the non-hacked state.

Though I do think they need to finally give the two other Krogan classes stagger resistance. Being able to do next to nothing against Hunters and Primes is annoying.

Kroguard is already the best tank class in the game

Can you imagine if it actually got its boosted damage resistance whenever Rage ever fired up? It'd be only a couple of ticks away from being invincible whenever it charged

Kroguard is already pretty hard to kill.

On Bronze/Silver having Rage wouldn't matter too much since you're already pretty hard to kill.
Platinum it doesn't matter much because of all the boss spam making it more difficult to get Rage going.

Only difficulty it would matter more on would be Gold.

I mean sure...it would make Kroguard more tanky...but like you said it is already the best tank in the game so it being a slightly better tank isn't that big of a deal.

You might as well still do it, the timer says it ends early Monday morning, and in the past they've had it say early Sunday on the blog with the timer saying Monday and later updated the blog to Monday. I mean in general they are the worst people on the planet at expressing information to other people, but chances are you'll still count, and even if it doesn't count you can just contact support later in the week.

I was hosting a game today and charged a Banshee by mistake. I was in the grab animation even before my charge completed. The Banshee was holding invisible me for a good second before i appeared. I was spamming back dodge as soon as i hit charge too

Should Shepard resolve the situation with the quarians and geth before heading to Arrae, and not save David at any point, then revealing to Gavin that the geth are no longer a threat to organic civilizations will cause him to say that David's suffering was for nothing. He will then walk off and a gunshot is heard.

No, I knew that, that's the darker outcome I was referring to. That particular version of it is new to me because I've never waited until after Rannoch to do the mission and it's even darker.
