    In some cases they're really strict about this.

    I wanted to keep the tumors they cut out of my arm years ago, and they told me I couldn't have them.

    When I countered with "but my religion says I have to be buried with them" they responded with

    "They will be incinerated and the ashes provided at a later date."

    Medical science is really close to establishing the link between the appendix and the body's ability to filter toxins out of Taco Bell. I heard they just lost all their progress with a major case study, though.
