got it off the warden in the first act. i will be using this thing for prob the entire normal difficulty. nly problem is it's an axe, so no ground slam.

I have the terrible urge to match that with a +9% item so I can be all like, "Hmmm, yesss, that's an even 20% towards a Whetstone." Either that, or sell it to a vendor for alteration fragments.

Speaking of awesome items, the first item I identified was a pair of gloves with +10 dex, health regen, +1-2 damage and some health/attack speed. Pretty sweet

goddammit, I had a green accuracy gem in my inventory that is not there anymore. I really needed that thing. I can only assume it dissapeared when the server went down cause I damn sure didn't drop it. That actually makes me extremely salty....

Before. At least, I'm pretty sure before. Last night sometime. I was pretty sure you had until 2 hours before the beta started for it to register and I was long before that.

Basically, hit really fast and hard with claws, and outleech enemy dps. Using the evasion>armour keystone to turn all that evasion into damage reduction (I want consistent rates in and out, obviously), and I think I hit enough accuracy boosts and such in there. Lots of room to pick and choose last bits (Chaos Innoc/Ghost Reaver, or grab dual wielding speed/damage from duelist area, etc.)

As a kiwi I find all of the NZ accents really awkward to listen to. I get the same things in movies/TV shows where I'm used to hearing North American/European accents all the time.

I like the ranger and shadows VA's.

Also my axe is awesome, considering it was found in Terraces. I'll head towards iron reflexes on my ranger though, makes me sad that evasion and armour both seem not quite as good as just having a humongous energy shield.

Word on the vine says that energy shield got a nerf.

I also learned that daggers add global crit chance. If you're going to go that far out of your way to grab crit nodes, it's something to consider.

At the risk of repeating myself, Unwavering Stance is also something you might consider. You are immune to stuns at the cost of never evading. But you wouldn't care about that if you're buying Iron Reflexes.

Yes . . . evasion probably needs a buff.

Sounds good. I'll probably look into using daggers if they add crit chance.

The reason I'm going that far out is more or less because I was trying to create as generic a build as possible for my first run through so the only things I looked for was: HP, one handed awesome as opposed to more specialised stuff.

This game is pretty awesome. Played way too late last night on my tanky axe/shield marauder. Even if I was getting disco'd every 10 minutes it was okay (softcore). Managed to find a unique ring with ~60% magic find boost, so that's cool.

First character just died at only level 17, end of Act 1

On Merveil. I'm kinda confused. Checked the wiki after I died, which says "If you run out of potions, run back to town to refill them". But I tried like hell to get out once I realised that my current setup was doing zero damage, and the door was de-activated.

You can really TP out of any encounter? I figured that they'd disable TP's before they disabled doors. Fuck, what a waste.

I was able to put up a TP and take it back down after I died. I'm not sure if it's disabled during the combat, but that I could definitely do.
