Hooray! One less thing to regret.
Next time I hope I can roleplay someone as a vanillager without needing to worry about strategy. Being carefree and obnoxious, that's my niche. I'm no phalla player...I'm an artiste.

Larlar...Honestly I figured it was between flarne and Saber at that point. Since saber I think is more active on the boards I did figure between them he was the better choice
I had just gotten home from work and was trying to get ready for sleep when Munkus was like "No you have to kill one of your own."
....I actually have a track record of picking the wrong person at times like this. Also being half asleep doesn't help.
Also...trying to get me on bandwagons is bad..I also am known for picking one person and just voting for them. Our mechanic the Curse of Flies would have been perfect to use on me since I tend to NOT vote the bandwagon.
TRV and Invictus where both cured of shards as well.

Oops might help if I read what was said right derp. Larlar you would have been right on the bandwagon thing against Saber.
edit: But then at that point we were already killing the others and we knew that one of the last of us had one again Saber being the one over flarne.

How did you pick your shards Larlar? We spent plenty of pages trying to figure it out.

I pulled out a bible and picked the numbers that corresponded to the most boring verses. Then when I realized all that did was put shards in the first nine players on the list, I used a random number generator.
Seriously, though, before using an RNG I very nearly just picked a clump of people at first (say, 30-39), and I'm really, really glad I thought about that for more than eight seconds before submitting it.

Did you guys cure Vert? Was she the first person cured?
I would have loved some scenario where an undetected shard was hidden away in OSA, but it wasn't a realistic one. Having one in Phyphor could have been a stroke of magnificent luck if the village had come out on top, because I doubt he would have bothered to check himself until close to the end, if at all.

Yeah, the cured Vert first.
I did find it funny reading the mafia boards on them trying to figure out how the flash mechanics worked if the number didn't go down one day when that day I had a clarification about how people who were already cured didn't have to worry about being sharded.
I honestly thought I was giving too much information away! Shows what I know.

And hats off to Gandalf for pretending to have a role that everyone seemed to believe he had.

At first it was vanillager boredom, just me trying to redirect any votes away from me -- theoretically increasing the odds it would hit a demon, even if accidentally -- and maybe suss out what different players were seeking, so that if I got brought into the network at some point I'd have a little information to offer.
Then Obi sent me that message and it all went to hell.

I'm not sure I could have even seered myself. Though if it came down to it and I was the only one unchecked and there was 1 shard left... well I'd vote myself off
Now that I think of it, I think I've made a role that kinda fixes the normal thrall problems.
It's a village aligned role with the Curse of Flies so that their vote kills non-mafia members. They are still a good guy, the mafia still wants them to be alive and voting because it nets them an extra kill.
EDIT: I still find it hilarious that @Bedlam was secretly the most important role, killing the most villagers AND mafia memers combined. HE'S THE REASON LANGLY DIED YOU GUYS
Dang. I didn't even get a role PM so I never knew I was anything special. And work got so busy that I haven't been able to play (sorry about being inactivused ) To top things off the library computers are all down right now and Im at a neighbors house to even read this. Definetly no more phalla for awhile (explode lots of things for me!)

Let me say this now so it can be recorded in the annals of history:
For as long as I design phalla mechanics, I will try to find ways to make the vanillager roles important.
There tend to be less actual vigilantes in the game because I use mechanics that give powers to villagers. The plague was my first attempt. The Curse of Splinters, Curse of Flies, and Will of Acquaintance actually made it so everyone was super powerful (or potentially).

it wasn't a role. we cursed you. You were an unreliable second kill. The mafia only ever had one kill.
So the kill on Dys was because he was being quiet and that was a bad shot. THAT ONE WAS ON ME. But really, I mean, how accurate can someone be on day 1?
Then Phyphor and I had this conversation on day 2:
Phyphor March 19
Hello mr vig, how is your holy sword today?
ObiFettObiFett March 20
uh...
Care to tell me why you think I'm a vig
PhyphorPhyphor March 20
Well I seered you so either the host is lying or you're a vig
ObiFettObiFett March 20
Hm
Sure it wasn't busdriven?
Also, I assume Munkus Beavar is just accidentally in this conversation and it has nothing to do with mechanics?
Also, you will learn I am really paranoid in phalla.
PhyphorPhyphor March 20
Yeah that was a typo
ObiFettObiFett March 20
So who are you seering tonight?
After which he went dark. Also he was the only person I had talked to the whole game.
So I told Gandalf that if I died that night, to look at Phyphor. Because he was the only person to talk to me the whole game and knew I was a vig. I figured it was a mafia action seer tactic or something
Then the mafia killed me.
Worst. Luck. Ever.
Hahaha, speaking of Day 1 accuracy...the first target of my seer ability I was so eager to use? The one chance I got to use it?

Well at least I finally got to kill you. It only took what, two years?
Damn you mafia, killing me just as I was starting to piece things together! It's sad though, how much clearer things get once you died. Like, reading the narration when I died, I was like "oh, so Invictus, facetious, and TRV are all mafia." Too late to be of any use, of course.
It is nice to be seen as a threat though.
@CesareB if you read the proboards you'll see I was frightened of you from very early on. I was curious, the night we killed you you posted about how your were starting to get your bearings - I was curious if they were accurate after all. Which I guess you just confirmed.
This is my first time winning as mafia. Which is kind of a weight off my back, because I've felt directly responsible for almost every loss.
Edit: Also thanks for running it, Munkus! I just got back from vacation so I got to catch up on everything.

Zonugal survived for 2 nights in a row because he is a boss.
I just wish I hadn't gotten day 1'd by the vig.
