Anyway. I'm really eager for the Lords of Shadow 2 trailer. Thought the first one was woefully underrated.

There's been lots of debate on the Bethesda Fallout forums about Fallout 4, (Although in those forums I use the word debate loosely) and it seems that there is a chance of having Fallout 4 at E3, possibly as some sort of launch title for the Xbone. There's also been rumours of it being exclusive to the Xbone, but I doubt that's true.

Fallout 4 is really all I am looking forward to this E3, so I hope it comes true. Even if it is, though, the most we will get is a teaser trailer, I doubt any actual gameplay, maybe that in-engine stuff we got for Fallout 3.

Then there's Half Life 3, and I can't think of a single person who wouldnt go absolutely insane at seeing something like that. If it's there, then for most people it might as well be the Second Coming of Jesus Third Coming of the Freeman.

Man, I have no clue what I want out of E3 this year, which is kind of a first. I'll just throw out my traditional Suikoden VI and be forever disappointed.

Molyneux's new game is simply called Molyneux, and it's a cross between Scribblenauts and Game Dev Tycoon.

Players write down two random words and the game spits out a finished product with Molyneux's name on it, basing the game mechanics on the specified adjectives.

Rhythmic Ghana.

Incredible Lampshade.

The twist is that he data mines the player's creations for his next game after that.

I think you misunderstand. I was talking about Fallout 4 being on some sort of Xbone exclusivity deal thing, and even then that was a rumour from a site that I feel was just making shit up to get hits. Still got quite a long thread of people hating bethesda in their forums, though.

I'd be surprised if it was a launch title. I'd feel like they'd want to give more time for the hype train to build.

Oblivion was kinda sort of a launch title for the 360. It was supposed to be anyways, but I guess being released in the first six months counts too.

It took until 2007 to get on the PS3, anyways. Remember that it was released near the end of 2005.

E3 this year will be interesting, as we have three companies who have a measure of desperation that should produce some pretty fantastic shows.

Nintendo is desperate to show that the WiiU has some major games on the way.
Sony is desperate to show that they learned from the PS3 fiasco.
MS is desperate to salvage the initial Xbox 1 showing.

I am actually very excited to see what these three companies pull out this E3.

According to a report on VentureBeat, the God of War developer is set to stream the unannounced title during a live broadcast on Twitch next Tuesday, June 11.

Sony's press conference takes place at 2am BST the same day, where the game will likely be announced.

It's been my silent hope that Sony Santa Monica are the ones behind the Sony-produced re-branding of Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Oh, to dream.

I know but others were acting like you were right.

It's basically the same situation as Naughty Dog. When God of War 3 was finished, the team was split into two and they went on a hiring spree to fill in the gaps. One team started working on God of War: Ascension and the other on a new IP.

Assassin's Creed III LIberation has voodoo and Mayan ruins in it. Need to run through that one.

As many people that claim to hate AC as a series, many of those same people buy it every time it releases.

Truth be told, I don't much care for the series myself, but I'll be lying if I didn't admit that ACIV looks pretty awesome. In my opinion we don't get near enough pirate themed games.

There was this pretty terrible game for the PS2 called Legend of Black Kat or something that I played like crazy just because it was based around awesome pirates.

Westwood always had a flair for presentation. I really miss that company.

In my opinion it's worth owning. I remember having a huge amount of fun with it. It had pretty awesome ship battles, pretty standard sword action, and some neat side islands where you find hidden treasure and weapons.

Pretty fun memories there.

I sorta admire the ending to Assassin's Creed 3. It didn't play anything safe and while, yes, there were some stupid concessions, it was totally fucking insane when it could have, and probably should have, been really conservative and normal.

In a game series where you fist fight the Pope and threaten to shank the shit out of *drumroll* Genral George Washington I expect some crazy shit.

But a magic button that kills the protagonist and rewrites the laws of fucking physics is too much for me.

Oh no doubt it was a terrible ending. But it was terrible in a Nic Cage sort of way. Say what you will about the man, but he never phones in a performance.

But ACIII, and I am being absolutely honest here, pissed me off a thousand times more the ME3 did ending wise.

It pissed me off enough that I will YouTube the ending of Black Flag before I even think about playing.

Square Enix is having a "Future of Final Fantasy" press event, which supposedly takes place right after the Sony conference:



It seems they really do have a major FF announcement planned for Sony's show, which definitely seems to involve Versus.

For a long while, Square has appeared oblivious to the rampant complaints about their company as a whole, especially their constant hyping of upcoming things that end up being wholly underwhelming (get ready for a major TWEWY reveal! Surprise, it's just a remixed soundtrack!).

So I really, really hope they actually have something substantial to show here. This is their big chance to show people that they're going to start the next console generation right.

I am starting to think that this might be the last E3 where we see any of the Big 3 hardware manufacturers up on stage. Sony and MS may have more to gain at this point by disintermediating the gaming press like Nintendo did and marketing their products directly to the consumer.
