    On a side note, I think I'm going to change the random pools again for the next game. You'll pick one character from the OP as normal, but the random two characters will be from the play difficulties that you didn't pick. So if you pick a Basic character, the other two will be Intermediate and Advanced. So at least you get a wide spread of characters and complexities.

    EDIT: Okay, that looks good. 18 in the Basic/Novice/Beginner pool, 12 in the Moderate/Intermediate pool, and 18 in the Advanced pool.

    I thought Joal was supposed to be intermediate?

    As of the Devastation rulebook, he's been bumped up to Advanced. Which I can totally see, since while he might not have a wall of text for abilities (Iaxus...), knowing how to build your Stockpile might not be obvious for a newer player and can really make or break a game.

    Shek is actually rated Novice, as of the Devastation rulebook. I lumped the two difficulties together. She doesn't really have a complex kit. Punch things, get tokens for doing damage, use tokens to go fastah.

    Oh, I get that. It's one of those deceptively simple ones, though, since figuring out which tokens go where actually turned out to be fairly complicated in practice and they made it a little harder with the revision by de-handcuffing you, imo.

    Everyone in BattleCON is better if you have some idea what the other guy's doing but Seth and Shekh seem like they pretty much insist you do mental math every round to get maximum mileage.

    Welp! Ive stunned him half the time, cant win em all.

    Edit: Shek seems super straight forward and honestly kind of vanilla. Going all in on an attack dosent hurt you much as long as your damage outweighs your lifeloss. Demitrias on the other hand gets better priority and damage from his counters, but he can only do one or the other. (not sure what you guys mean by her being updated though, going completly off the print and play)

    Every charecter seems to have some give and take to them. And also can rely on strategies outside of their synergy which I think is awesome.

    Except Cadenza. He gets infiante stun guard on hit, stun immunity when he plans it, and two styles that give him soak. IMO Cadenza is the Oddjob of Battlecon.

    So can we clarify how finishers interact with normal attacks?

    Like Im assuming I still get to execute my attack if I get higher priority but can I stun him at all? I did read the rules but it seems like a small section and in this game it will inevitably have a huge impact so I dont think it can be over explained to me.

    At work so I don't haven't Devastation rule book in front of me, but they basically act as normal attack pairs. Except they never clash, always win priority ties versus normal attacks.

    EDIT: Okay, read it, they operate basically as the same as a regular attack, so they can be stunned, dodged, etc. If two finishers would ever somehow clash, they downgrade into Cancels.
