XCOM
triggered two muton groups on that diner map with no hard full cover on the outside then got flanked by two floaters the next turn.
I lost 4 guys, 3 of them majors. I lost my assault/support capture team that had like 10 alien captures between them . RIP Sheriff.

Miss me? Find me on:

First time the enemies could randomly see through the wall of the ship and unloaded at me through it.
This time an enemy explosive destroyed a door on the ship and it became impossible to move through the hole where the door used to be.
XCOM. Stahp!
That should only last as long as the fire is there. You cannot walk through fire until you get Titan Armor.
It took me a while to figure this out, there is absolutely no explanation of it and they do not call attention to it in the slightest when it happens.
Oooh, well now I feel silly for reloading my save to the start of the mission. Thought my game was bugged! Thanks for letting me know.

I too have been AN1ME_PRO_420_X'd
I've barely been on this week as I've been catching up on the interwebs following a week in the tropics, so to get a gift notification pop up while I'm editing photos of a sunrise over the Coral Sea was vaguely discombobulating and an awesome surprise. Much kudos to the stoned anime one.
I restarted my campaign because I had fucked myself over really badly by expanding way too fast, so Italia was on the verge of outright rebellion and I was bankrupt.
One thing I worked out is that you can (should?) basically stockpile happiness in a province by building it up while you hold one or two cities in it, then the negatives from taking other cities in the same province are drowned out by all the happy people, so it's completely manageable, what's probably hardest is entering a brand new province because they're going to hate the shit out of you and you have no stockpile of happy to counter that, so you just have to tough it out with a large military occupation for quite a while I think.
Plus, my admiral is apparently delightfully mental.

No problem, like I said it took me a while to figure it out. That little spiel about how "fire should no longer be a problem" when you first try on Titan armor is literally the only clue you ever get that fire even exists as a hazard on maps. It typically only happens after rocket blasts, but it can be a thing after grenades or environmental explosions too.
Three times today I have sternly told myself that I am going to close Rome, get dressed, and go do some exercise or hoover or something productive like that.
Three times today I have completed step one and then a minute or two later found myself mysteriously back at the main menu and loading up my campaign.
Gavelkind succession has driven me to some unfortunate familial murders. Killing my little brother for the duchies of Lancaster and Northumberland was one thing, but.. his 2 year old son? At least I have the Kingdom of England to assuage the guilt a little, though I fear I will be unable to hold it.
This brings a tear to my eye... My spymaster has just informed me that my heir Wulfgar is plotting to murder my second son Sighere. How like us they are.

Son, I'm concerned about you. You're fifth in line for the throne and yet I have yet to discover any plots by you to murder your brothers. Are you okay? You can talk to me, you know.

I love Rome 2.

I bought 400 days for my brother with the words of Suffer with your questionable decisions
I still hold hope that Tomorrow Magic 2014 is put on sale for the 20th Anv of MTG
Same here! It was a great surprise when I woke up this morning!
Stupid life getting in the way of important things like killing aliens.
It...just didn't make a lot of sense to me? :S
I was wondering why we hadn't heard anything out of them in a while. This explains it.

I think ghosts might be involved.

I can't get the carpe fulgor site to load. what is it?
Which you can't do even though you've got all kinds of sweet training and gear and stuff
Like, dealing with aliens that can do mind control and pulverize shit, no problem but I am not running into a fire, no matter how small.
burning organ not be nimble
That's what I told myself, too.
in 2009.
Man, it's kinda nuts what people pay for these.

BRB, going card mining.
8-)
I was looking at that.
It is like Frozen Synapse?
I haven't played the game, but I fucking LOVE the artwork on those cards.
Well they could have had fancy stuff too if they wanted, for some reason they didn't bother.
@Hullis and I were just chatting about it. His direct quote was
"it's like SWAT or Rainbow Six mixed with Frozen Synapse if Frozen Synapse wasn't so...lifeless."
