I don't know why I put Silent Storm 2. It was just Silent Storm yet every time I see that game I do think "Silent Storm 2" just something weird in my brain I guess.
Sorry @Stolls, I did your gift a disservice by fucking up the name.
It's cool, the logo's kind of confusing: it's shooting for "S^2: Silent Storm" but even I keep seeing it as S2. Gold edition throws in the Sentinels expansion, so it's more like S^3 at this point.
In any case, it's a damn good game. Almost fully destructible environments leads to crazy stuff like this happening regularly.

Lord of the Rings: War in the North. How is it? I ask because I note it's on sale on Amazon. Specifically, if @rikdaly can give me his impressions on it, since you seem to be the one person who put in the most hours into it, but anyone can chime in.
Basically, it looks fun for 5 bucks, I want to know if that's a proper impression.
Edit: and same basic question about Vampire: Quest for more Colons.
Everyone is going to tell you that Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines is worth getting. They'll also tell you that there's a fan patch worth downloading that fixes a lot of things.
I've played a little bit of War in the North. Seems like a lot of fun, although kind of silly that you can't replay levels. I played it co-op with my fiancee and it's probably best played with three people since there are three characters.
Does the co-op require multiple copies of the game, or is it couch co-op? Also, is it controller enabled?
Co-op definitely requires multiple copies & computers. Apparently it also forces voice chat if you have a microphone and there's no way to turn it off.
It works fine with a 360 controller, complete with the proper button prompts appearing in the UI.
Damn on the multiple copies thing . . . but nice for controller support!
And with an_alt's gift, it's even more likely I'll just get it . . .

@Pixelated Pixie and I had reached a peace accord on the whole gift war thing.
However she broke the terms of our truce with a sneak attack of How to Survive. Hostilities have been resumed, citizens are advised to stay in doors.

Sheesh, I get back from work and the class war is still ongoing? Hmm. Maybe it'd be fun to pull in some...collateral damage. Hmmmm...
Wish I could post while at work, but the computer I use has such low memory that the auto-save draft feature locks the browser for a good five minutes. So I just browse.
I was putting away the popcorn when I got hit! I'm a victim of splash class damage. I was promised guns that shoot popcorn, we shall see! Thanks to @shdwcaster for Borderlands 2: Headhunter 5: Son of Crawmerax! Watch out for that classhole, he's been on a rampage!
For five or six years, even. Launched in 2004 but conceived in the pre-WoW MMO goldrush when Monolith decided to branch out from shooters. It didn't do well, name an MMO launched right around WoW that did, the IP and assets got sold lock, stock, and barrel to SOE where it joined the Station Pass lumbered on for a lot longer than anyone I know who worked on the game expected it would.
I miss it though. It was sort of an odd relic of the pre-WoW, CoH influenced MMO design philosophy.

It was a trap. @Madican ran me through with the point of Nidhogg. Despite all my years of fencing it seems my gangsta defence was no match for the offensive might of his class.

It was part of the WB humble bundle so there are probably a good deal of copies still floating around. Check steam gifts.
Watching this gave me a brilliant idea to make dancing look better in games
1) Ensure all music that people can dance to has the same BMP
2) time the dances to the BMP.
Call of Juarez Gunslinger? This classive attack will not stand, bro. Not gonna stand for it, bro!

Man... I wanted to buy myself a set of N7 armor JUST so that I could wear it to clubs and dance poorly.
Too bad it's prohibitively expensive so I blew all my costume money on making a TRON suit.

Heavy Bullets. I like Tower of Guns, don't get me wrong. Heavy Bullets is better though.

Vengeance will be swift. Or rather, was swift.
Yeah. I'm bad at truces.
Apparently so is @Dyvim Tvar...
Well, there's only one thing left to do...
Or blade, or arrows.
Thanks!

Getting started with BATTLETECH: Part 1 / Part 2
I'd like to add the DoW franchise pack to my wishlist, but I don't want to add 50 odd more things to it individually.
It seems like it'd be a pretty trivial thing for Valve to add, particularly with how many bundles they have.

Et tu, @Madican?
We're gonna need bigger bombs.
Flagship also excites me when I consider battlefleet gothica.

Yeah, it's pretty goshdarn awesome so far. The art is delightful, the animations are fantastic, the missions are fun, the gameplay is solid.
I can't agree with this more than once, which is sad.
Hey @Madican I totally did already...wait a minute, is this a trap?
Too quiet...
