No haha, i bought the ps2 version on PSN sale along with the devil summoners because I missed those 3 games when I actually had a ps2. But the whole world tells me how great p4 is so i needed to play it. and get hyped for 5
and I'm only a few hours in but oh my god, direct party control is the best change I've seen from 3 (so far)
I just wasted two hours farming in the dungeon because of an evil die. not even a pair of dice. 1 bastard and he blew up and did okish damage to everyone else, then double that to the MC, who is the only one that apparently can't just be revived.

Taking a break was all I needed. Though it got a bit intense when I beat the top floor boss after she killed everyone but the mc, who thankfully had fire null.

I had been keeping izanagi because I figured he had story significance, then I realized I had all skills learned for him so I Updated his record and went a bit wild with fusing. the game didn't seem to mind so I'm guessing he doesn't come up much and should just be continually fusing stronger ones like in a mainline smt?
also, I want to stick my early game prediction in here just to see how this pans out as I progress.
I know about Izanagi from a myth and symbology class I took (yay learning!) so I'm expecting a connection to Izanami at some point. I feel like the fact that the MC didn't have a shadow version is significant and will probably be tied to izanami. I know, because of the internet, that at some point teddy gets a body in the human world so it's possible for shadow/tv creatures to leave in some way, so I'm guessing the killer is shadow Yu/Izanami... but I have no idea why as of yet.
Aside from the part I know about teddy I'm basing this on pretty much nothing, except the little bit of info there is up through Yukiko's Dungeon.
I'm really like it so far though. There's a lot more going on of interest at this point in the game compared to p3 and the cast is really entertaining.
I had an original ps2 for years that only gave up a year or two ago, but the only backlog games I had for it still were a bunch of the smt games so it's been cheaper to rebuy them digitally than another ps2 that I wouldn't be able to hook up anyway (I connect my ps3 to my computer monitor using the hdmi for ps3 and the dvi for pc).
P4 is so much fun everyone. I'm right at the end of june, about to start the next dungeon it seems. I can't believe I waited so long to play this one.

So the hacker I work with has a new thing in the works.
Some of you might be familiar with the SMT 'DemiKids' GBA games(which were awesome). These are the OGs of the DemiKids games, updated ports of the GBC games with full voice acting. They were never localized, only the later Dark and Light Versions were.
The Devil Children titles were designed with the Pokemon audience in mind, so basically, they're kid-friendly SMT games.
Still pretty tough, and very enjoyable.
This isn't even close to being in Alpha, since Black Book is the focus right now, but I feel it's very much worth sharing.
It's not one of my projects, alas, but EsperKnight is hacking it, so I'm more than happy to share it.
I wonder how the state of the franchise in NA would have gone if someone had localized the anime of that game for network TV.
Depends on if it happened before, after, or during the Pokemon series run. It's key to people seeing it as innovative or a filthy knockoff. Sadly I doubt Atlus would have the resources to beat Nintendo on that front, especially in that era.
I guess 2015 is the year of the PC/PS4/PSVita/PS3/PS2/PS1/WiiU/3DS/360 for me.

I'll be spending most of it on the PS3 and PSV working that backlog, because I sure don't have finances for a PS4. (Though I'd be lying if I said I wasn't dying to play Bloodborne.)
