This was the most memorable part of my PAX last year. Was also my first PAX. Great conversation with a fun group, and this was the only thing I did that resulted in actual facebook friend additions. The game aspect added some variety to the night, and the pubs were excellent. Honestly, can't say enough good things about it. If you have a basic Lovecraft interest, and want to meet some genuinely great people, you should join!

I will be a fucking shill for this event until the day I die.

*Laughs* well the problem with that is that I have nothing else to do but plan and plan. Admittedly it has let me find some really good deals on stuff. I'm usually a procrastinator, but I'm just so excited for my first PAX

I completely get that; I was the exact same way during my first PAX. I still am even though this is my fourth one, actually.

Like others have said, more parties will appear on this thread as more get announced. Normally during the last two weeks or so before the convention starts, we'll be bombarded with information on the PAX parties. Also keep a look out for gaming websites announcing their parties (such as IGN or Kotaku), as well as game developer twitter accounts announcing a potential PAX party they might be hosting (if they have an upcoming game that they wanna show off, or just because.)

Actually I guess that's all I have info for. I know of another show that is being planned for Friday night and a couple of the acts that will be there but I can't say anything until it's officially announced so... I'll post again when I hear.

I treat my party list like my panels list:

Pick one per day/night that you absolutely must go to. It'll make your life infinitely easier. In general for parties, there's one major industry party per night, apart from other invite only parties. It's usually smaller venues that will overlap with each other for time.

Wise words. The year Double Fine and CAH had their after parties at the same was the year we tried two in one night. It worked out ok going to CAH second because it wasn't size restricted. Not advised for most parties though.

All of the hottest queer gaymers geeks and nerds will be there. If you only come out of your parent’s basement once a year, then this will be the place you’ll need to be.

Queer Geek's Pink Party Prime will feature actress and voice-over artist Jennifer Hale, smokin’ hot DJs Krot and Futurewife, along with gogo studs Bolt and Tyler Rush, and a $1,000 cosplay contest. There will also be a dedicated gaming space and a VIP lounge where you'll be able to mix and mingle with the amazing Jennifer Hale, along with a VIP drink specials and a VIP gaming space featuring playable demos of the hottest new games.

Yes, last year's Pink Party Prime was a 21+ event, due to alcohol being served.
In addition: Neighbours Nightclub is also a 21+ venue.



I wonder if Curse/Twitch are holding an invite only party again as opposed to general admission.

Also, I'm a little disappointed that Mad Catz skipped out on PAX East entirely. Hopefully they return for PAX Prime this year.
